The surgeon said it was worse that he could tell from the MRI, but that it repaired very well. Too, I don't have any pain yet and I don't think that is because of any local anesthesia; and the Dr said I need to use about 30 percent of my weight on it right off. I have crutches, but he said they will be needed mostly for stability. I think that means I will be back at my work and projects very soon. Actually I think I will be able to do some of the design work in my head, at least when it clears up a little more.

Progress is movement in any direction.

Jerry,

Best wishes for a speedy recovery...and yeah what Tony said...But "Dr." not "DR"...I know nothing about knees..except I may be in your situation soon too....it sucks getting old.

P.S. DR, I always thought getting old is much better than the alternative. My father, on the other hand, couldn't take getting old and probably as a result he died fairly young. However, I don't think that there is a genetic disposition to short age, and to support that we spent the previous weekend out of town to my Aunt's 97th birthday--dad's sister. JF

I think DR David is respected enough for it not to make any difference--knees or cars! Jerry Feather

Hello Jerry,

I hope you do have a speedy recovery. Don't rush things - other than Heinrich - we can wait

Jerry, best wishes for a FULL (if not speedy) recovery, sir .... as we get older, more things break ... maybe that's why we like our 928's so much, eh? We identify with them. Been through a few things myself, and the bottom line is, you must take care of yourself before you take care of other people and their fenders and such.

By the way Jerry ... how about putting your car(s) in your autosignature so we can see what you drive?

Gee, Heinrich, That's pretty nice after that pissing contest we seem to have had in the other thread yesterday. Thanks. I have my post-op in less than an hour, and still no pain; and before I got up this morning I was able to bend my knee back to where it hurt before and it is a lot better already. Looking up.

I made it to the post-op with the surgeon and the physical therapist. When I got there I had very little pain, probably about a one half. When I left I had about a three, and still have most of it. I think that is good because I have always heard that "no pain, no gain" is a rule.

I have to call a client and then I am going to take a nap.

This modern medicine is amazing ... once that knee is all worked out, give Chuckles a call for a lap-band or whatever it is he sells ...

Tom, medicine is not all that is amazing, apparently. I didn't realize just how much coud be learned about me just from the satalite picture that the Gay Fisherman from Insane Diego posted of my place without the lawn a while back.

I have been giving some thought about a band like that around my gut to help eliminate the spare tire I have developed around my middle over the years. Is that the band you are talking about?

I'm curious about this project. Are original rear WW liners NLA, ridiculously expensive, or just not that great?

Also, is there a reason they often go missing... I ask this because I just found that my GTS has no rear liners or splash guards.

Oh, BTW, what's that pump/motor inside the GTS driver's side rear fender?
