You just bought it.

Where did it come from and what else have you discovered that makes you want to ditch it fast here on Rennlist?

Seems like just a few little things:

i had a few nests in the 87 i just got .ccar was sitting who knows how long.one big one was in the air box.also found debris under the rear seat cushions.i',m sure theres a few more waiting for me.

car already got bumped .found a nice chip in the rear bumper that wasn't there on sat.fortunatly bumper has to be repainted anyway but people really suck around here.i always park where no ones around to avoid that

found some melted wiring going to the rear interior light.going to have to remove rear panels to trace back and splice .funny thing is after replacing the fuse the circuit stayed hot with three wires...

thanks for the info guys.corrosion could be from living at the beach.not sure where the car came from.gonna do fuel lines as well as tb.also found out why i had no power steering.no belt no...

ok here is the worse of the two.actually drove the car 20 plus miles to get it home.it's a good thing i'm a world class wheelman who can drive the sh*t out of anything that goes boom.a lesser man...

making progress on the s4 rescue.got the years worth of rodent debrs and leaves out.did a resto on the batt box, tail lights back on,interior detail, and got one tie rod changed out.went for the first...

lol.yes i just took my pan off and set it to the side.was going to fabricate a new one from metal when i get everything done under there being that the plastic one is beat up and was held on with tiewraps.possible either may not make it back on there, lol

ok lets make this clear.i just bought the car fom a bank who had repo"d the car from it's previous owner.i was suggesting that having to replace the tierods would not have been neccessary had the...
tried the napa website and called the store and they have no listing.going to try and make some universal ones fit.the ones that have the push in prongs may work with a little fab work.

guys.i did try the hand crank to no avail.going to try disconnecting the cables.i did notice also one of the plastic gears has scheered teeth.

can anyone help with a stuck power seat?it's jammed forward.motor not doing a thing as well as the manual crank.is there a way to disconnect and move manually?thanks

thanks guys, finding alot of butchery, lol.half the issues on this car are due to butterknife mechanics.

Colin, you sure you're not thinking of the user "smith 928" - who may be the brother of a certain twin turbo guy?

Sorry to hear you're selling Smyth1 - you spent an age looking, hopefully you'll know enough now to get the right 928 next time if you can stomach it.

That vehicle is going for $ 4500 .!! because of a transmission failure???

There is absolute junk that is new today but will seem so old in 10 months and seem and feel it!

A transmission swap is a long day or a weekend. I'd pick up one from 928intl or that other one, flop it in and go!!
