I think it came from Roger at 928sRus.

Seems like Jim Morton told me the spacer was only needed on one side, but I can't remember which side now.

Jim,

What improvement did you see going from #24 to #30 injectors? What exhaust system improvements did you GTS have?

Still run stock... my TX offi...zer has convinced me that at 135 I'm going fast enough and I really don't care if it takes a few seconds more or less to get there

Lizard shifter in my book is the way to go for any 5spd 928 even the "Rogerbox" guy himself has confessed this to me

Jim,
What improvement did you see going from #24 to #30 injectors? What exhaust system improvements did you GTS have?

I installed the 24# injectors at the same time as the intake spacers and GT cams with an intake refresh. Idle was a little smoother (maybe due to the 4 hole injectors atomizing the fuel better) but my 19# injectors were original and who knows what condition they were in. I also did some minor porting to the intake and port matched the spacers to the intake manifold. Already had the X-pipe with stock exhaust from the cats back. Performance on the ***-0-meter was better with most of the improvement at highway speeds. Dynoed at 339HP. Then installed the Motorsport SLC 2.5" cat back mandrel bent exhaust system. Slight improvement again, but very loud. Then Shark Tuned and OH WOW, what a difference. Pulls like a freight train and doesn't want to stop until you must shift. Even with 315's on the back I have traction problems in 1st and 2nd. On the highway at 50-70 MPH it feels like it just wants to go go go. Again much improved!

It's just my opinion, but if you do any mods to the engine, you really need to Shark Tune to maximize the benifits.

David:

The one spacer thing was not my idea, but something suggested by another RL-er. After investigating the suggestion, it makes a lot of sense. If you look at both sides on the intake manifold casting and measure the depth of bellmount to cover as well as the volume of both sides of the air plenum, the spacer value(s) can be rationalized.
