Default Need help, no manual or money!

I am typing this from the service station. They put in a new MC for the clutch and a slave, blue hose etc. The car will not shift. The MC was not modified so that will have to be fixed.

Would it be possible for someone to email me the info I need from the manual, ie MC and slave and clutch adjustment. My email is acinnadad@gmail.com. They need this info before they continue to work on the car as the mechanic is driving blind.

My wife wants me to sell the car and buy a Honda, I would rather be shot in the head! The car has been down since Oct 15th and is causing a lot of stress! Help!

This might help. Look down near the end for Stan's specific input.

Proper proceedure to bleed the clutch is to use a power bleeder and then pump the clutch pedal while cracking the bleeder.

if the push rod is adjusted correctly,
then from the info provided it sounds like you have a new part with the shorter stroke,
the only way to fix is to remove the piston and cut about 4 to5 mm off the tip and then put a slit in the end of it so the fluid will still be able to pass.
Also the spring must be shortened (about 2 winds should do it) ,
NOTE careful measurements must be taken to assure that the piston rear seal wont travel past the feed port on the MC if it does then the MC will leak out the rear.
this is easy to do once the seals are removed ,
also measure the spring in full compression if its longer than the piston tip ,
then it will shatter then the shards will cut the seals

They put a new master and slave cylinder into a dual disk car, it is going to need to be modified to work correctly, and Stephan you need to buy the WSM, and as I told the guy working on it, he has to have information to work on these cars.

There are several posts here on how to modify to slave units and how to adjust the clutch.

You have had two different guy trying to fix the problem, what happened to the first guy?

Bleed it into the cockpit into a towel to release the big air bubble if you have to.

Greg I have no idea about the first guy, I have only talked to Bill who is working on the car currently. I understand about the WSM and the need for one but I have over a grand into this now and I don't have the funds to buy one for them to work on the car. I will still probably end up with another bill and I am concerned about paying for that. It has been raining here and I have lost two days pay!

Greg Thank you for your help. Next time we met the beer is on me.

Fraggle I am not selling the car but thanks anyway!

Does the pedal come up on itself? If it does, its engaging the clutch. if you cant get it into gear, you probably might need to adjust the clutch. a better test would be to put it in gear, clutch in, and then start the car. (hold the brake on as well) see if it releases ok, or drags and tries to inch or move forward. If so, that could be clutch adjustment. Hard to say. I dont know why there is so many issues with the bleeding of the clutch system.

If they are going to charge you for this, then you need to bring it to me.

Google Maps says you are 65 miles or so from Greg. What are you thinking? A rollback to his shop is going to be a lot less expensive than letting mechanics who know nothing about 928s work on your car. This is a true no-brainer.
