Default Eibach Spring Fitting

Based on 928 International's web site their Eibach springs fit from 86.5 to 95. IS there any reason they will not fit on the older cars as well?

Thanks for the input.

It's something about spring perch sizes.

Sure, they fit the early cars, but you'll probably need the later, smaller spring perches. Everything else is pretty much the same.

In addition to the 85 and later small diameter rear perches, I beleive you also need ride height adjusters on all four corners. Early cars have fixed lower perches in the front that are mounted about 1.5" lower on the shock body, in order to accommodate longer springs. Using S4 springs or shorter with the early shocks would make the front way too low.

You need to change the spring perches. Let me know if you need a set. I got Eibach's for my '79 and my '88 and got the updated spring perches for the '79. However, before I installed the springs I updated my shocks and the new shocks came with all the perches and hardware and such. Upshot is I have a spare set up late perches. 928 intl has them for not too much $ also.
