Id not like that part.
But hey, let me know who buys it. Could probly sell them a used timing belt too. Its not old & stretched, its loosened up, makes more HP.

If you're satisfied with the free advise on how to conduct yourself with your vehicles, we are also qualified to tell you how to raise your children and treat your wife.
We even have a few experts on politics and religion, but that type of advise does not carry the famous two year warranty that we're known for.

The corvette engine is very advanced but the main reason it gets 27mpg on the highway is overdrive gearing.

I have gotten 25mpg highway in the S4, 2.20 rear end instead of the '89+ 2.54.
The mileage might be better after some routine maintenance you know.
I do think you are spinning you wheels with the engine swap, these are reliable durable engines. More power? Get a supercharger.
With the SBC swap you will have nothing in common with us, and nothing to talk about with the 928 crowd. This is a great group of people, and you wouldn't want to miss it.
p.s. I don't agree with any of the mods you are doing.

I'd just boost what you have with a Murf Stage 3. I have often thought about it myself.

If you get a sharktuner and tune your cruise range you can get was better fuel economy. At the expense of a little more emissions.
Also yes the Vette does get better mileage due to 2 overdrive gears.
However with one car running MSII I got 35mpg.

Guys, it's his car not yours. Whether I agree with it or not, Tony has the option to do with his car whatever he wants. To all the other GTS owners, if he performs the swap it will make your car worth a little more seeing that another all original one is gone!
As far as getting $12K for the engine I wish you good luck with your sale. If you don't lower your price to about half that I can see your car staying Porsche powered.

D, Timing is not important from this end. I do have the luxury of selling this motor from now until whenever it sells or does not sell. Right now, leaning towards a new LS376/480 motor. Thes motors are dynoing at 500-502 at the crank right out of the box. If someone roasts their motor, here is a nice 94 low mile GTS motor for sale that will drop right in. Whatever their reason is for buying it has no bearing on me selling it. They can install it in their GTS, keep it for a back up motor, use it as a coffee table base, or whatever, it does not matter to me-at all because it is now their motor. I do hope that it gives the buyer trouble free service, but I can not gurantee it. I spoke with someone at 3rd Coast who did roast thier GTS motor and that's what gave me the idea for this swap. This man replaced his blown GTS motor with a Porsche based stroker motor at the tune of $ 30,000. He also stated he wanted to keep the stock look. I can dig that, do whatever you want with your car. It's all relative, I do not want to spend that kind of money that he did, because it would cause problems at home if you know what I mean. When we drobe up to the 3rd Coast event, we were getting 17mpg at 70 mph. Hoping to get approx 22-23 mpg at 70mph with the LS3. T

Rob -- You must have gotten tenured AND won the lotto, then smoked a big fatty before bidding!
77tony -- You'll get your price if you are patient. It will just take about three more rounds of quantitative easing...

So it doesn't matter how long? Then it's totally about the money and not much about the perceived advantages of the Chevy. I'm pure, but flexible. I say do it and do it now so you can enjoy it. Besides, once it's done, there is one less GTS available, that helps all of the remaining GTS owners who "think" it may go up in price. We all know you don't buy these cars as an investment. But if all the GTSs suddenly disappeared or became a hyrid, EXCEPT mine, I would have a very valuable car. I would then have to sell it at a horrible price (horrible to a buyer) b/c I couldn't drive it and that would unbearable.
