Kevin I've got one that I'm not going to use. It's the carbon fiber version, but maybe you could swap the internals if they are the same. I cannot verify that it works because I never got the chance to install it. But you can have it for the cost of shipping if you like. Let me know
Its repairable. I bet its a bad connection somewhere, its likely in the connector at the switch panel.
I can say that we never had an electrical failure on any of the second generation modules (first gen was just a harness, so any issues were with the quality of third party hardware). Our board have been rock solid, but could be serviced if necessary.

My test involved swapping the left and right window connections at the controller. The fault followed the swap. I also have another switch panel from a non-sunroof version and it all would not activate the driver side window.
As of now only the driver side does not work. I have not removed the cover. Should I take a peek at it?
Well the issue was a burnt trace. See picture.
Hans says and I agree a sluggish winder or wire short could cause that before the 30 amp fuse would blow.
