Yea, we get one snow day and one ice day a year, so it really doesn't count. The only issue this time, was bald tires on the '90.. Couldn't get it up the driveway.

If you select carefully, even parts cars can be refreshed for another reliable tour-of-duty.

Chris, best description yet of my ride! And daily, inlcuding what passes for winter down here in Virginia (actually, last winter got pretty real). But they are upping salt usage on the roads, so that may change.

We get some narly weather in the winter. Freezing rain. Freezing fog. Snow. Ice. However, the 944 has done excellent in all of them so far. Have had to be pretty careful though with the 944 since it's touchy on the brakes, even engine braking can be a pain in the *** sometimes causing traction break on icy enough roads. The ride home is pretty much a straight shot from work so it's not that bad on the highway.

But our neighborhood has a few hills and a large bridge to get up, climbing it is a challenge in the winter.

I run dunlop sport winters since I got it and love them.

The 928 GTS is my daily summer driver and my 944 S2 is my daily winter driver. Both cars perform without problems but preventive maintenance is the key to success

Mine are daily drivers.
December through about February, they hide in the garage for winter. March is usually the first chance to get them out.

I haven't taken possession of mine yet, but I drove it four times last weekend.

Drive as often as possible, putting 150K on in 10 years. Mine has been very inexpensive to drive with essentuially no expensive issues, but that is probably unusual. Average 18 MPG, 21-22 cruising with or without the supercharger.

From a daily perspective, that averages-out to needing another 928.

You can actually drive them daily? Once a week here, however I would not hesitate driving it daily, if I needed to.

'76 912e Silver/Black
2 other daily drivers......

DD here although it's parked temporarily for maintenance. As has been said above, they are much more reliable when driven often.

I drive mine whenever I want. Summer or Winter. Just depends on my mood. Its been a very reliable car and always starts up and goes when asked. Sometimes its a few blocks to the store, sometimes a few thousand miles on a road trip. Sometimes I have to take it off the road for a week to do maintenance but other than that its always ready to go. Mileage is about 17 around town and 22 on highway. Drive away !!
