Default I did not know that...

I tilted the driver seat forward on an '81, and the electric motors pulled the seat forward on its tracks to allow easier access to the back seat area. When did they stop doing that?

I thought all 928 variants did this party trick.., pity it does,nt go back to where it was though, at least on mine you have to hit the switch to reverse it back into position, bit of a pain !

Good question, Adam. My old '80 had it.... My old '84 did not.... '87 does not.

Same story on my '87 - it does not automatically move seat forward.

81 was the last year of that... my '81 does it, my '82 does not... As noted above it is more of a PITA then it is worth for sure. How often do you actually need the seat moved FORWARD after the back rest if flipped forward? For me almost never...

Does it work on the passenger side as well?
I think it is a cool function. I understand the PIA part of it, which is probably why Porsche deleted it.

I wonder how hard it would be to wire into the later models, and have it be able to go back to original position?

Passenger side has it on mine - drivers side electrics don't function at all.
A bit useless really, as the kids don't need the seat to slide to get in the back, and no-one any bigger will fit in those rear seats!

you've got memory on both sides right?....just program button 3 to move all the way forward..and then use button 1 to put it back to your seating spot..

Only later cars have memory seating at all and passenger side memory is a separate cost option...
