Just googled the flea market (looking for things to do today) and see that it's right close, we are right off River Road in Dresden. Small world indeed.

At the risk of getting sniped on it if it's good, one of you want to swing by and check this one out near Mt Desert? I've contacted for more info/pics, but maybe someone here can inspect and snap a few as well.

Heading to the Montsweag Flea Market now (9:50). Be there at around 10:30 in a silver '08 Suburban w/my kids (7, 11 y/o sons; 13 y/o daughter) and a black lab hanging out in the back of the car. Maybe we'll see you there.

I think I can find time this weekend to look at it, since it's right at Acadia.

Thanks, much appreciated. I'll shoot you a message if the owner gets back to me in the meantime as well.

Default Barn find in Maine

Bronto,

where are you in Maine tonight. I'm in Scarborough (15minutes south of Portland) and with my 928. Could meet you there tomorrow?

PM me if you get this tonight..

Thanks

Sorry I missed you Bob, I am flying out tomorrow from Portland, 7:18am. This is my first net access since last night when I was in Bar Harbor.

I have some good info and photos of the car, bottom line it's a driver and will probably never be a show car. Black now, bad repaint. '80 motor. A few minor issues. Owner is Executive Director of the Seal Cove auto museum, which is quite a place. Where else is there an 1886 Benz next to a Olds Curved Dash? Amazing place. I have photos of that too.

I wouldn't touch that car unless it was free, then I would make a parts car out of it. Sat 15+ years, paint shot, interior shot.

Always easy if you sell it to someone else to restore it. :P

In California, big lazy rodents chew insulation off the wires for sport.

In Maine, in a barn, the rodents are smaller. But they are really cold. And industrious. They make the car their home. And use every fragment of non-metallic stuff to do so.
