Cool, I think we're up to 7.

A few more and I'll get started...

PS. Terry, hard to say at this point because it will be heavily dependent on quantity.
Don't let this throw you off.. "one-off" pricing for the bracket and quick release was $240.
3" Diameter fire extinquisher not included, because that will heavily sway the cost depending on which one you go with. I suggest you take a look around and price, in advance, the one you want.

At the right price I would take two.

Does yours work for the larger fire extinguishers?

Default Extinguishers you could use...

Billet quick release bracket is designed for 1.5# (short) or 2.5# (long), 3" diameter.

Could use Safecraft model PC

...Or Safecraft model PB

...Or HalGuard HG250C

...Or anything near 3" diameter.

If you find something else you like, let me know its diameter, and I'll check to see if it may fit.

Jim,

I alrleady have a HalGuard HG250C extinguisher. Specs - 2.5 lbs 14.8 in. X 3.0 in. Looks like it'll fit very nicely.

I have an extinguisher just sitting in a box waiting for a mount... so I'm in if the price is within reason.

I'll have to check the diameter.

Don, great!
I added it to my post above...

I like that one too, Sterling... just alot of coin @ $230 (@ Stable Energies)
I read ya regarding the quick release. That is why I chose the one I did. Pull the pin, extinguisher drops, grab and get it!

Mike,
I might fit the seat from the 924S, if it's power and a ca. late '80's Porsche Recaro.
Take a pic of the front of the seat with dust cover removed and I should be able to tell ya with some certainty.

No on the Boxster is my guess.

This may go without saying, folks...

The reason for this location is because in case of a fire, in a situation where you and pinned in the car and can't move.... you NEED your FE within reach!
PCA recommends this location for this very reason.
You do not want to mount it behind your seat or in the hatch, etc.

FWIW,
For those who want to work up their own FE clamping solution...

Just get the bracket, and make your own adapter plate (out of 1/4" thk ABS plastic, maybe?), then fitup to it whatever clamp you choose.

So, the bracket may be available seperately.

I'd not use plastic for any of the mount - you may need this after a crash and the FE is heavy enough to break a plastic mount in an impact. Go with Steel or Aluminum.

The BK mount could easily be adapted to this bracket
