Thanks Bob, and great question! 
Yes, the bracket is mounted to the seat, so it moves with it.
It's tucked very low and close to the seat (clears carpet w/mat, and full seat adjustment). It's concealed but accessible. I designed it around my wife as a passenger w/her gigantic purse.
This bracket works on '85-later Porsche Recaro power seats (doesn't work for early full manual or power seats). Will check into power sport seat with manual fore/aft.
Easy installation (four bolts). Will check into if it can be installed w/the seat in the car.
There's a hole in the bracket to allow access to the "emergency" fore/aft screw.

Can you please indicate where on my seat your bracket would bolt to? Below is a pic of the bottom of my passenger seat. I bought the FEM2 a couple of years ago and found that it didn't fit my seat. Stable Energies speculated that maybe my car somehow came with Euro seats?? I don't know that Euro seats were any different, I'm just repeating what they said. When I look at the illustration of your bracket, the mounting points look a lot like those for the FEM2.

No, it's fully powered (forward-back, up-down, backrest forward-back) and when you manually put the backrest forward it automatically moves the bottom all the way to the front to make more room for the passenger to get in the rear seat. The lever is a manual adjust in case the power unit fails, IIRC. Pics of the seat below.

Ya know, I forgot the early power seats are very different. I believe this bracket will only work with the 85-later seats.

If yes and it is the Safecraft mount, I am interested in 2 pieces (even if the price is unreasonable)
If the price is reasonable, maybe I'd take a 1 or 2 more, but no promises...
