I only drink at home or with friends, but only bourbon. The ole lady on the other hand loves her wine. Better hide the Mad Dog, and Night Train!

According to the video, one guy had a .38????!!!

Dang Jim, that sounds like you in Grandbury. (3rd Coast 2007).

You kept trying to find the third floor button in the elevator.

Problem was, there was only 2 floors at the hotel!!

Time to figure out who's bring what tools.

Last year I loaded up my car with everything (up to and almost the sink) and would really hope I don't have to do that this year. Makes for quite a racket on the drive.

I am bringing:

1. KTS Hammer
2. Basic tool kit provided by Bill Tool
3. Wash soap/bucket/sponge/detail spray
4. Sway Bar set up for Jwillman
5. RMB for Mike R (if he still needs it)
6. Few misc cans of cleaner/towels.
7. Tire plug kit
8. sealing goo
9. silicone tape

Things others should bring

1. spare radiator hoses/distilled water
2. small jack stands
3. fix a flat
4. compressor
5. Compact Jack-won't be bringing my aluminum one this year
6. Oil
7. Battery jump starter
8 .Mind is drawing a blank atm. Will update as I think more on it.
9. Duct tape
10. spare exhaust (small resonators) for Bill Ball

Things you will need in the parking lot

1. wine
2. beer
2.5. Cups
3. cigars
4. lawn chair
5. paper towels for the inevitable spills from the above
6. coats/jackets
7. More in a minute, my parts guy just showed up for a delivery.
8. Back now
9. Advil/aspirin/Oxycontin
10. Water
11. coolers with ice
12. puke bucket
13. large towels for the above
14. crutches for Jim/or wheel chair depending on the intake of number 1.
15. more in a little bit.
16. camera to prove who did what, and at what time they did it.

Great post Sean. I wasn't even thinking about cigars, but now I'm going to have to pick a couple up.

Love that tool kit from Bill, will be bringing mine too. He's been quiet lately, hope he and the bride make it. Sent an email a couple of days ago but haven't heard back yet.

Bill called me today to chat about a few things, his wife unit is going to be taking the BMw so Bill will have some good seat time. He's been real busy the past couple of weeks. Damn customers.

Hmm... should I scavenge up a case of wine like I did for OCIC? I can certainly haul my cooler [with wheels] down...

puke bucket? Isn't there a lake right next to the hotel?

Cigars are a must... will bring my briar pipe. I will have a small assortment of Craftsman tools for the ride down...

Good to hear Bill is still planning to be there.

Chuck,

I'll send an email out to the Houston Google Group this week and see if anyone wants to caravan. Stretch is in the group. I'm off Friday, so I may be leaving earlier than most folks. Of course our level of participation doesn't come close to DFW's, so there may just be a few going from Houston.

I don't know who your refering to, I've never in my life been falling down drunk, a little unsteady at times but never falling down!

Is the DFW crew going to meet at Home Depot again so we can caravan down together? Don't forget I'm picking up Hans at the airport at 9:50. We should be able to make a 10:30 departure from the Home Depot if Schreiber can get there in time (doubtful ).

I'm bringing my usual compliment of tools and emergency equipment kept in my little storage compartments. I'll also bring a bottle or two of wine. Hans said he has found some "3rd Coast" beer and is bringing that.

Mike Vance, will you bring the shark tuner, I need to reset my airbag warning and with the PEMS in the hammer won't work AFAIK.

If your car is in top condition, you don't need tools. Leaves more room for booze! I'll pass on the cigars, took 40 years to kick that habit. Still working on the booze, not real comitted though.

Not much difference between falling and leaning over to the point of doing so.

I've almost got the '78 ready for Hans to drive down, how we going to work this?

When we went to SITM in '07 from Texas, I assigned everyone certain items, which spread the load out nicely. We got to use a bunch of them Sunday afternoon in a Sears lot somewhere in TN fixing Paul's rear suspension issues.

Now if whoever had seen his tires going bald at the motel in NC wouldve spoken up before we started home, we wouldve had a more pleasant Sunday drive! That still blows my mind...
