Looking at a vintage porsche tomorrow - which car to drive up in?

Three Wheelin'
I'd say the 928, both to reassure the seller that his baby is going to a good home, and to let him know that you are not inexperienced with these cars.

If you drive up in a car that relates to what you are looking at AND is in good condition, it can assure the seller that
a. you appreciate that type of car
b. you know how to treat a such car on a test drive
c. be less inclined to BS about issues
d. respect your offer more, because they know you know what these cars are worth
Now, if you were looking at a Beetle, it might not matter much...
Best of luck!
