Hello!
Hello from London
I'm new to the world of 928s... been looking for an interesting new car for a few weeks now and at the weekend I picked up my new car.. a black 1988 928 SE. This is a car that previously belonged to one of your members "drnick", who seems to be (in)famous for his orange track car - well Nick, the car still drives great!
Mechanically it has been well looked after, but it needs a little work doing (mainly to the interior and some paint) - and the first thing on the list is to get the aircon working!
You seem to have a nice helpful forum here, no doubt you will be hearing from me

That is a very rare car indeed and only supplied in the UK.
Welcome to the 928 World.
Now what about the Rover in the picture - I used to have one that colour with a radio phone in it - long before cell phones were heard of.

I know. Your talking to a an old kid who watched and helped his dad swap out motors in Jags..Stags..etc...i still have cousins at "the jag" in Coventry. My uncles used to work at Triumph and Dunlop.
My first car was a 72 Mgb GT, identical to this one.. I will own another one for sentimental reasons some day....or maybe just "mental" reasons..
I will have to dig up pictures of our family car taken dockside in Liverpool.
I cant but help and say...."YEAH BABY....YEAH..."
My wheels looked WAY better than this....i refurbished them my self...and hand painted the BL badge on the side And i wonder where i got it all from?

For those not aware, the SE is a RHD-only version of the clubsport, made for the UK market. As noted elsewhere here, there were 42 produced, in only 4 colours - black, silver, white, red.
They were all the same spec, with manual gearbox, sports seats, fabric trim inserts, leather dashboard/doors/console/headliner, no sunroof, and the clubsport engine (very similar to later GT engine), different gearbox (normally the same as the one in the '89 GT), clubsport suspension etc., plus they have very little sound deadening.
