Default Looking for deer replacement parts

Ok, I hit a deer this morning... I need a new hood, a new right front fender, a complete passenger fog light assembly, a complete passenger head light assembly - it's not broken, it's completely gone. And... some poor buck needs a new doe.

This is what I get for going into Michigan. ;-)

Anyone have some of these close to me... Muncie, Indiana.

Thanks
Rod

No, it will NOT buff out!

(already called Mark with a voice mail, but thought there might be some locally that would save a lot on shipping)

I'm sorry about the damage. But on the bright side, you sound like you are unharmed.

When you say the headlight is completely gone - where did it go? Did it rotate down into the fender, or fly off?

I hope you can find the parts you need and get this shark fixed quickly.

When you crash into a deer do you get to eat it?

Bambi went to the great field in the sky. I saw her literally on her way. I really hate hitting/killing animals, aside from the car issue. I have lots of guns, and used to hunt a lot, but I just like to shoot now, don't like killing things.

Gone, as in forever... I was going about 80 and there wasn't even time to hit the brakes. Just there she was and then crash and over the car. By the time I got stopped and in a safe place to pull over, it was waaaaay back down the road. The frame was broken and slammed down inside the fender, but the headlight assembly was long gone.

I was fortunate, I've heard of deer going through the windshield and it's all over.

Glad you are okay-lucky it was not a buck or it'd be game over. pretty impressive how relatively little damage.

Actually he pm'd me. I need to see if it would be possible to pick them up at Sharks..

Need to talk with the body shop on Monday and see what they recommend and how we can do this.

Thanks,
Rod

That happened to Uncle Mitch, live deer in the cab of the truck, on top of his pistol that was laying in the seat, he jumped out of the still moving truck, then came to the realization that now the deer had his truck AND his gun.

You both got very lucky.

Wow Rod! Hope you're OK - same thing happened to me on April 2nd going through Indiana; driver's side...deer flew to the left side or I might be posting from the other side. It took almost six weeks to get mine back together, although the parts are readily available. Hope you either do it yourself or have a good shop, and have the bumper shocks looked at while they're reconstructing her...

Happened to me about 15 years ago.

Early morning, forest, straight road, 90mph, bambi's mum materialises on the road in right front of me. Luckily she went under not over and she could steer straight. Bambi's mum under the front wheels means no steering, and ABS with front wheels not turning means no brakes on rear wheels either.

Was still finding deer hair 5 years later.

Glad you were all OK - 928s can be repaired.

Hitting deer at 80 and that is all that happened is a testiment to how well our cars are! I do not like killing animals and it is sad what happened all the way around.

Godspeed on getting her back on the road!
