Looking for Pigtails for repairing a butchered engine harnesses?
Title says it all, looking for the pigtails for the MAF, IAC, TPS and CPS, plus the injectors, does any one know where new ones they can be bought?
This is on a 88 S4.
Not sure what the PO had in mind, but it looks like he cut the harness and used some parts off of a GM car.
Thanks.

I have a full engine harness minus the CPS pigtail..............might be easier to use this and find a CPS pig tail............postage might be a killer though.

Three Wheelin'
Roger can get those connectors and boots.
They're all standard Bosch connectors that are specific to the number of wires.
For some reason it's really hard to find sources of odd little Bosch items like that and get both connectors and boots but Rog' has dealt with it.
For the connectors that fall apart leaving bare terminals you can simply slip them into a new connector. Well in theory at least...
BTW, if you ever source terminals, get name brand ones like Tyco otherwise they may not be as good and do things like fall out.
BTW2, GM stuff spliced into a Porsche harness? OMG. There's not a wet salmon big enough to slap upside that person's head!

A while back I poked through the 944 PET pages and found the 2, 3, and 6 pin harness connectors, here are the part numbers
2 (fuel injection connector): 928 612 825 00
3: (TPS, Hall, CPS): 022 906 233B
6: (MAF): 071 906 233
As you can see, if you buy these part #'s you just get the housing. So the million $ question is what's the P/N for the female connector clips that fit in the housing. A part # for the rubber boots would be good too....
Look at PET page (1989 944-2, group 9 SG02 illus 902-52): maybe 999 652 451 22 is the one for the MAF connector? Or maybe 999 652 456 22?
I need to order some of these and figure out which is correct.

Look here http://www.eagleday.com/ampconnectors.html
They have pins, boots, and connectors.
I just replaced my Temp II sensor connector.

So based on the Eagleday pic the female terminal connectors are 999 652 456 22.
Now we just need the boot P/N.

Boot for small plastic ends: 944 612 128 00
Electrical Connector: 999 652 456 22
Wurth has both the plastic housing (15567070) and similar boot (15567120) for much less. Housings are black, from them. The Porsche electrical connector itself is light years better than the ones Wurth sells, however.
Wurth also sells the housing clips separately, so all those stupid straight clips on the injectors that they melted the plastic to retain and always fall off can be replaced with ones with ears than stay in place. Idiots...How much money could that have saved? 15567100 will get you those. Simply take a pick and remove the stupid piece of melted plastic and install the new clips.

I like the pigtails I get from ebay for the injectors, only catch is that he only sells them as pigtails, not uncrimped parts. Still worth it just for the pigtails and housings, about $20 for a set of 8 shipped.

They usually have good stuff.
Are the Tyco's ok?

The Wurth connectors are the generic ones with just the regular tabs to make contact. The ones from Porsche are the upated kind with extra pressure on the metal tabs to maintain contact. They are also made from stiffer material...you can tell when you crimp them.
