So let me guess, the 6,000hp drag cars are quieter than your 928?

These guys found a place to run, but I must not realize how much LOUDER your car is over these?
Hockenheim cannot be that far away. 238mph in a 1/4 of a mile.........not too shabby.

This guys doesn't seam to have any issues in the UK.....I guess your car is louder and faster? 2200hp and the numbers to back it up? What a concept!!!!

Let me guess.....these tracks are too short

The RED pipes and red Pulsoids are the fuel system SOLELY for the Nitrous , and terminate in Venom injectors which you can see drilled into the Plenum legs on the apex of the bend as they go downwards....therefor no larger injectors needed...

All the best Brett
That makes sense...but damm if my math is correct you have at most 6 minutes 48 seconds of fuel.......IN THE WHOLE TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shoot it takes the Veyron 12 minutes to go empty!!

Hi

I never worked out the fuel, but roughly my 30 lbs of Nitrous in my Twin 15 lb bottles will last for around 7 minutes continous so they match lol

Hi

Yes , the tracks ARE too short...mine is designed for Top speed running...not quarters...

In the Uk there are only 2 drag racing tracks, which I CAN run at as no noise limits, but even a Veyron can only achieve 145 mph there....mine is designed and geared for over 200...

All the best Brett

Brett just put a muffler on the car, I am going to modify the factory rear muffler as it is a very nice piece. It seems a very easy fix.

Bruntingthorpe has a TWO MILE straight. Long enough? And I quote:

"Whether you want to test, store or drive vehicles; shoot a movie or launch a new product, Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground is the place to do it. With a uniquely flexible attitude, anything truly IS possible!"

I am going to be in the UK for two weeks in June, passing from Edinburgh down to London on June 22. I would love to stop off in Leicester to have some fun and I'll bet a few of our UK listers would too. Interested?

Hi Greg

Not quite as easy as that I am afraid with Nitrous, with the amounts of exhaust gases I am producing, the exhaust system needs to be almost headers only..gaswise....ANY restriction and the Nitrous system will not work properly...

My system is as follows...

No cats (S2 never had them)...X-Pipe (Anderson) ...straight 3 inch race pipes (twin) all the way to the back with no middle resonators (Anderson) Anderson back S4 straight through Race rear box (looks like a tiny GT box) so the only silencing at all is some that is in the rear box but outside the straight through pipes in the box...

Noise wise....108 DB on tickover up to 130 plus DB at 7000.... no idea on 8000 as my DB meter stops at 130...lol...so its VERY VERY loud...

All the best Brett

Hi

Great idea but I know Brunters well and it has a "normal" 105 db limit....

The only way they will raise that limit is if I hired the track just for myself for a day at a cost of £15,000 ... then its unlimited sound...

I claim that street/race mufflers, say dual 4" Borla XR1's, will flow as much as dual 3" pipes at 20" h20.

Borla product number 40947 has 4" inlet and outlet. The dimensions are 12" x 4 1/2" x 7 7/8". Oval shape. Priced at $203.99, so not going to break the bank. The 3->4 inch transitions aren't expensive either.

Here's a photo of the 3" version of those mufflers. They don't intuitively appear restrictive.

Brett I have a twin 3" system I can sell you a couple of lightweight mufflers, 1 kg each. 300 pounds for both, post would be cheap as they are so light, they are a race muffler and rebuildable. They are used on top race cars when they need to control noise. They are straight through so no blockage to the gases.

So to gain some perspective on this, you have built an incredibly powerful machine but have no place to run it. I can understand the challenge of building this but to not be able to operate it is strange.
It's kinda like taking a whole bottle of Viagra and then going to church.
