Does anyone sell the little wire thingy that helps keep the sunroof motor cover on?

Thanks.

You mean the wire thingy that attaches between the circle-hoop-wire-catcher in the roof and the only-for-small-hands-clip in the cover?

A bargain at twice the price! My cover will only stay in place until I open the rear hatch and then it's coming down soon thereafter. There are a lot of us out there...

Maybe we can get Ed (OBhave) to fab some for us in his shop? It's just a little piece of spring steel with a loop at one end. How hard could that be to make? (asks the guy who knows nothing about these black arts...).

NOOOOOOOO! It's just a piece of spring steel, like piano wire. You could most likely use a hinge pin from continuous hinge (piano hinge). Or call 928 Intl and get the whole cover to rob the spring, but please don't use super glue. I promise you'll regret it.

Call them. I'm sure they would be willing to pull one off one of the cars there.

Crud, I just put mine back together, and was going to take a photo of the internals, but forgot in my haste to meet the transporter pickup time. Once I get my car back I will be happy to oblige if no one beats me to it :-)

Cheers,
Dave
