It was all rattle can. I'll put a few more coats of clear coat on after a few more days.

Thanks

Give it a try.

Thanks for the input. What grit wet/dry sand paper are you talking about? Would I need to repaint/clear coat after the sanding? Or is the sand paper grit light enough to just bring out the luster? As you can tell it's my first time doing anything like this.

Thanks again for the input. it's appreciated.

2000 grit paper, then use some 3M product, I think its called perfect-it 3000, and a buffer. I use terry cloth first for a rough polish, then use the special foam pads you get from 3M for a final polish. The wet sanding is just to bring the paint finish to an even smooth layer, then you polish the sanding scratches out. Look up "color sanding" on google, there are some good links with pics on how to go about doing it.

Im thinking of doing the same thing. did you use just rattle cans, paint and primer, or did you spray the final coats with a spray gun. looks good, but hard to tell from the pics.

Spray cans, primer, then wet sand & then base coat and the clear coat. One spray can of each.
