Default Boxster S 19 in Wheels- Do they work?

I have run across some Boxster S lobsters with Michelin PS2s for a good price- Fronts 235-35-19 with a 8" wide 57 offset and Rears 265-35-19 9.5" wide with a 46 offset. They seem to work except the height increase on the rears. What do you guys think?

Thanks guys. I have one concern that the tire size on the rear being about 1 inch taller might rub on my 86.5. Anybody know?

The tire size is not one inch taller, the wheel is.

Use this calculator to figure out the difference in rolling diameter...

Default Perhaps I used a poor word choice

The stock is 245-45-16 with a 24.7 diameter. The new one is 265-35-19 with a diameter of 26.3. With the 9.5 wheel width and 46 offset it is spot on the stock rims. The over an inch difference in diameter would bring the tire over a half inch closer to the fender and 10mm increase in width(per side) would bring in closer to contact.
The old finger check tells me it would be mighty close. I was just wondering if anyone had used this size and if it took some fender manipulation.
Thanks

I have this exact size setup on my GT, different style though. My 19's came off a Cayman and are the same size and offset you mention. Bolted right up with no problems or clearance issues. It is pretty tight in back with the 46et offset, and note that I have factory rolled rear lip on my GT.

You are also correct, the 265/35 is taller by about an inch in overall diameter. That's why, after the original rear tires that came on the wheels wore out, I went with a 265/30-19 tire, much closer to the original O.D. at 25.3 inches.

Default Thanks Rick

Well they are on the way so I guess they will just have to fit. To nice a deal to pass on with brand new PS2s. The Potenzas that came on the car may be the loudest tires I have ever heard. The rescue of this 86.5 continues!
Pics soon.
