Default FS: GTS STD piston ring sets

Part number 928 103 906 26 = '92-95 100mm standard size. Full engine = 8 sets for sale. GTS is only engine which uses these. Two out of three rings have different thickness than all other 100mm ring sets.

All 8 sets have been intalled into engine and run for under one minute. Two out of 8 had too wide end cap for my liking straight out of box, 0.2mm above factory limit. One set had 0.1mm over the limit gap. Instead of geting few more sets plans have changed and these are no longer needed.

New price from Porsche $150+ per set = $1200+. All 8 sets 600 euros (around $770) or best offer. All 8 can be ok in another engine. Especially in tolerance group 0 block.

Basically block is machined and few mm thick cast steel pipe is inserted inside cylinders and honed to size. After that its possible to coat surface with Nicasil or leave it as is. 928 Motorsport does similar setup in US.

103mm is just max diameter I feel comfortable to use in blocks I have around. Every now and then deeply scratched blocks are available cheaply and they are perfect candidates for this. Its just that they have usual S4 and later block tower outside dimensions meaning around 116mm min diameter. (116-103)/2 = 6.5mm wall thickness which is same as rumored min thickness for Alusil. Maybe liner would allow slightly thinner remaining tower but I like to say on safe side.
