I have seen this when one switch is stuck in the contacted position. The others will not work. Try bumping the new switch up and down a bit, leave the window in the partially down position, and then try the other switches. You can try this for all the switches. If one is stuck in the closed position it will defeat the others.

switch problem
Thanks for tuning in. I had the window switch back from germany due to the initial wrong wiring order, anyhow in the mean time i bought some new window switch from 87-89 . They had the correct wiring and have four wires ,i clipped one orange wire that the 1990+does not needed. Also used the old connector by pushing the pins out-re-test today and one side work, but still nothing for the otherside. I still hear clicking noises from the control box. I will try half window roll down and go from there, and i might need to order a new control box.

The '90 window switches are very different from the earlier switches - I hope that your mods worked, and are not the source of your problems...

WINDOW SWITCHES
Hello Wally, the only difference is the extra wire from 87-89, they have four wires instead of 3 on the 90s-we just need to clip one close to the base tab. Anyhow i tried today one side will work if i unplugged the other ,i tried on both sides back and forth-both ways . If both are plug in only drivers side work. Anyone can chime in or show a pict of connectors where they go behind the console-meaning all the way back there....
