I hate being wrong 8>)
Does not show up anywhere on the paperwork for either car or the original sticker.

I think the car is real. I have been in touch with the second owner. He is US citizen but the car is still in South-Africa.
What is unclear for me is the fact that it seems to be "just" a regular manual S4 with many Kremer parts (body kit, mirrors,...).
I really doubt it is as light as 2600 lbs, or the body kit is really "light"

I doubt it is listed with the regular cars. I would like to know how many were made.

No option code for the Weissach according to Porsche - however I have been wrong before.
I have #210 as well as #172.
Have a Jubilee as well.

Sekuriflex was a four layered windshield that had an additional clear plastic layer on the inside. This was so that drivers without safety belts would not cut their faces when hitting it in an accident... It was hard to clean without scratching, sometimes peeled, and expensive to replace. Porsche dropped it quickly.

Awesome! The first picture shows the pearl yelllow metallic show car that I saw at a local show in Stuttgart, and dreamed about for years... the German twin of Stan's pearl ivory S4. In the very back you can see a 924S in the same color - one of my best friends owned that one for a while. Nobody seems to know what happened to that 928, though...

I've heard of that but this is the first time I've ever seen an image, real or otherwise. And I spent a few hours looking...
Never seen a real one?

It could be because they never made a complete car.

Here is as far as they got (supposedly there were three variations):

Never heard of that, and no production numbers stated.
According to someone at the Porsche factory, around 10 cars were made with these front fenders.
More were made with the wide rear fenders.

I will try to indentify these cars with a specific option code.

Thank you.

I have also found the Competition Pacakage and will try to identify them.

I suspect a hearing check is in order.

For SC (in the context of genuine Factory 928s) read or hear SE - RHD version of the CS but with some of the luxury stuff refitted. But as with the CS the lightest post galvanising bodyshells selected and rumour has it the engines selected from the most powerful (post engine dyno testing).

For SC (in modern 928 speak) refer to Andrew Olson, Dave Roberts, Carl Faussett and many others that my brain can't remember.

Could someone provide a Competition Package car's VIN?

I have tried to identify them by using the M473 option code (WITH FRONT AND REAR SPOILER) but have found only three cars in 1981/1982.

Hi Jon,

I can confirm you your car is the second of the 42 SE's produced.
The first is WP0ZZZ92ZJS841630.
The last is WP0ZZZ92ZJS842335.

Uh, let's not mix things up too much...

First there was the Artz Kombi (first image) - which was a true Wagon or Estate. Artz was independent, and Porsche had nothing to do with this project.

Then there was the 942 (second image) - that was Ferry Porsche's dark green metallic 4-seater with two doors. They only made one of those in Weissach. He got that in 1984 for his 75th birthday, and it already had S4 style bumpers and lights plus some projection lights that never made it to production.

Lastly, there was the ASC 4-door, two of which they made around 1987 with different back ends - one is a US version (third image), burgundy metallic with burgundy interior, and the other a Euro version (fourth image) in an amethyst like color with black interior. Whether it was really used much to shuttle Ferry around is disputed - his personal chauffeur and fleet manager does not recall ever driving a such 928. However, this is the car that is on display at the museum, and it shows quite some wear.

Ferry Porsche's last car was a dark green metallic 928 GTS with license plate S-CC 1234

Samuel
The option codes from the Exclusive program for the various options shown on this page http://transaxle.homeip.net/928/928S...sive/Index.htm are:

Options

- Concealed tilting headlights: ??? - There is danish guy on this forum, who has an S4 with this option, but not the modified rear arches. I will try to contact him to get the option code.
- Flared rear fenders with increased track: XC1
- Standard entrance panels with covers for flared rear fenders: XB4
- Exhaust-system club-sport version: No option code

The last car shown on the page (1991 S4 or GT) with the GTS flares has the option XX9.

I know one car with the 944 like front ligths and it has no specific option code:
WP0ZZZ92ZHS840516

The problem is that the 09991 option code is not listed into our database and it only indicates that the Exclusiv programm was used for this car. But you don't have a clue what for.

I have found 10 cars with XC1, 1989 only.
9 of them as XB4, the remaining has XB2.

Only one car with XX9. It's a 1991 S4 delivered in the USA.

I know a 1991 S4 that has a GTS look from factory.
Can someone confirm that the XG8 option code is GTS look?

The X option codes start in the middle of the 1989 MY.
