I'm going single and would be willing to pair up with somebody, but that really shouldn’t be with a female since I married. Any guys out there want to share a room?

Also, Hans said I could stay with him and Katie. I thought that could be somewhat awkward, but I would do it if necessary

Also, typically hotels don’t book 100% of there rooms, so maybe if you asked really really nicely they would release an “emergency reserve” room. Also, typically a few drop off last minute, so asked to be on their waiting list.

So really your main constraint is flights at this point

Thanks, guys! I guess I'd have to pack a sleeping bag... Mountain Lodge does still have rooms, except Friday night. As long as I have a safe place to sleep and take a shower in the morning I'd be fine.

What's the closest airport - Charlotte, NC?

I tried to book online, but will have to call United; their online booking does not accept the ticket voucher they gave me in Dallas, when my return flight from OCIC was overbooked...

Who else is in or coming from Charlotte? It looks like I'd have to fly into Charlotte on Thursday, arriving late and staying there for the night, before I'd head into the mountains. Similarly, I'd probably have to stay a night before flying out. That might give me a bit of time to see the city.

When do you guys expect to get there, and will you all leave on Sunday?
