Ebay listing shows the vin as 9288201046, but I think that is wrong, PET7 didn't like it anyway and neither did autocheck.

With 9 more days why would anyone be bidding now ? Unless they are just running it up ? Also worth mentioning all the safety equipment would be outdated.....seat, belts , fuel cell, and possibly the cage which may have been built to the old standards / tube sizes.....

The new pics show a lot of the unique engine parts. Steel liners, hand made intake runners, hogged out plenum, cylinder heads with huge ports. I'd love to see the bottom of the heads to get an idea of valve size.

Its got a great body, cage might be able to be grandfathered back in. who knows what the suspension is, or if it shot. key thing here is that the engine is not there. sure, a bunch of parts, but can anyone but Todd, greg or Mike (and a select few others) have anything more than a clue to know what to do with that block and sleeves?
transmission ok? If so, someone like Scot could bold in his euro 5 liter and have a pretty fast car. Heck, looks like those wheels are pretty nice and some brand new , 10 year old tires.

certainly would want to ditch the fuel cell for another and put in new belts. thats not a big deal.

what was that motor all about. 7 liter? what about that intake? stock plennum, but some custom big runners? what about those heads? big valves I suppose?

Sure would LOVE to see someone here get that car and bring it back to life! Don't kid yourself though, I had a rolling chassis from Mark Anderson (one of his early race cars), which is really all this car is too, and it cost about 2.5X what I thought it would cost to get it back on track. Now, if you are doing the work yourself then you can save a TON of money because most of my costs were labor, and being that I am in a wheelchair we had to do some things that the average person won't need to do, but still it WON'T BE CHEAP to put this car back on track!

Knowing Greg Brown as I do , there is no way he would want anything to do with putting together a motor from those experimental parts..... He once told me he preferred to make his own mistakes rather than inherit them from others ! Those wheels look like 15 or 16 inch rims state of the art at the time this car was being built but some what limited now for rubber choices. Has anyone actually determined under what club , where and when this car ever ran ???? Lots of talk about "history" but what is it ?

I'm possibly the biggest fan of that car and even I wouldn't touch the pile of mystery engine parts, even on a double-dog dare. No, even triple-dog!

But who says you can't just throw that stuff away and start from scratch on a new engine? Just send it to Greg with an empty engine bay and say "here, put something there".
