SoCal Engine install GTG in Irvine, April 11
#16
No need to clarify with me... I just think its a great idea. Especially since you have multiple children, IIRC. I can't get very much done even with wife/boy home on the weekend. Hence the 7 year project.

Bumping this for Sunday- I picked up the stroker today from Greg's, and spent some time tonight prepping for the weekend.
Street address is fifteen Fuertes, Irvine, 92617. Phone is 949 five oh nine 16seven2.
Directions to my place from L.A:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...=UTF8&t=h&z=10
Directions from San Diego:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...=UTF8&t=h&z=14
I'll be starting around 9:30 or so- any earlier and the neighbors get persnickety.

Rob--
Needs some protective sleeves on the 'biners to avoid marring the plating on the lift brackets.
Barring heavy rain, I plan to be there in the morning. Is there anything I should bring?

Oh (!!!)-- Get a cover on that throttle body SAP. Stuff has a habit of landing in there and migrating towards the exhaust. Even a plastic bag with a rubber band on it would be a good start.

I put a bag on it last night, good point. Weather report's looking good until Monday AM, looks like it's going to be cool on Sunday.
Bring Diet Pepsi, cold.

Update
I stopped by Robs this morning to see how the motor install was coming, They
started at 9:30, I got there at 10:20 and it was already in place. The motor
looks even better in person, it looks like a brand spanking new factory engine
fresh out of the crate, amazing quality and attention to detail.
I was especially impressed by the new hose's supplied Greg Brown, the big
oil lines, fuel lines etc, were extremely well thought out and made to fit perfectly.
The big oil lines fit so well they practically installed them selves. Rob has done a Hell of job getting this thing to this point, if any of you guys ever get the chance to see it in person do so.. I snapped a few pics of the work in progress
Rob,Dr Bob,Brendan. This going to be one awesome GTS when it hits the road.

Its too bad I had to go. I am sure they nearly have it started by now. But we got most of the big stuff done.
Some good shots of my *** though.
