Doesn't matter.
We've been watching that one all week on those sites.
Amazing how much appeal is lost when a timecapsule ends up in the hand of used car dealers and is driven, let alone driven in the snow and ice. They'll sell it in the 20's and loose $15 in the process for arrogance.

That's a good price for a new 928 and really tempting.
Shame they drove it on salty roads, that is a huge nono. It's also obvious that whoever polished it didn't do a great job removing the residue which IMHO can make all the difference to a collector looking for a perfect car.

from the pictures it looks like an early 86. the front brakes are small
I asked MF for the VIN but so far nothing.
be interesting to find out how far away it was from the conversion to 86.5

Who cares if it was driven in ****ty weather as long as it is as new... Hell, the new owner is going to jack the thing up and clean the hell out of it anyway taking all the cosmoline and any road grime dirt and salt away with it during the cleaning...
Mason says, "maybe the nicest in the country..." PHU-LEASE!! He has seen BLUE82 live and in person and knows it is not as nice at that 3600 mile (with EVERY SINGLE MILE COMPLETELY DOCUMENTED I MIGHT ADD) car and as much as I LOVE BLUE82 and know it is a great car, Ingram89 GT with 329 miles on it is in fact the nicest 928 in the country! I also know there is a 1500 mile OB (not sure if it is a '78 though) out there that has to be nice enough to give BLUE82 a run for its money...
Remember there is also a '91 S4 with 3900ish miles on it out there... I think it was in FL and is an ugly orange metallic color as I recall...

If I read the VIN sticker correctly in the pic, it is WPOJBO925GS860574. Also noticed what appears to be a MA state inspection sticker on the windsheiled - looks like it was hiding in our neck of the woods, Ashfin.

"Never serviced" and "original tires" actually desirable as sales pitch? Figure another $10k on top of the sale price to fix all the AC components, seals, electrical gremlins, tires, lines, and many things that I find commonly rotted away in a 1986 928. For myself, I would much rather buy a well sorted 928 to drive and enjoy than having a "museum" piece leaking oil on my garage floor.

As the owner of a museum piece (and Chuck can back me up on this one too having been Kermits caretaker for so long) the tires will be SHOT! COMPLETELY...as in NOT ROUND and dry rotting to bits! COMPLETELY unsafe for speeds over 20 mph! Hoses will have rotted from the inside and the T-belt would be suspect as well just due to age. Many rubber issues you would not be able to see either. So, even if you looked very carefully at the belt and it looked good would certainly be not assurance that failure is not imminent!
YMMV...mine is 3660 on BLUE82!
