Default 275 X 35 X 18 on 10 X 18 X ET64 Rim-- Fit S4 Rear?

Wanted to check and make sure these would fit on my 88. I currently have 265X35X18's on with no fit problems but have to replace them due to nail puncture. Looks like if I had any problem it would be on the inside at the control arm. Anyone running this size with a similar rim on an S4?

I'm thinking of getting the Toyo T1R this time.

yes it will fit no problem

are you sure the wheels aren't 18x10x65mm...since that is a typical Porsche size...I haven't see 64mm...but either way it will clear no problem...

You could go UP in rear tire too....maybe 295/30-18 should fit...since they fit on the 18x10x58mm rims & yours have more offset!

Thanks IcemanG17! I figured they wouldn't be a problem but I knew someone here had the definitive answer. They are 64mm offset aftermarket rims, not OEM.

Going UP to 295/30's is tempting, are you sure they would fit? Taller would look better IMO...

Those are definitely 18x10" ET64. 275/35-18 will fit in the rear with no problems. I actually used 18mm spacers in the rear. Fronts are 18x8.5" ET52. It's funny how one's former wheels travel around

The wheels are in Seattle now. Thanks for the fit confirmation, I ordered the 275's.

The 275 section will work but with a 35 [higher] profile will give you a bigger rolling radius than a 285x30 or 295x30 section and your tire choices will be more limited I suspect but clearly you have soemthing specific in mind and no end of suppliers over the pond..

I think the bigger sizes will work with your wheels [I had 285 x30 on a ET60 wheel on my late S4 and it had stacks of clearance or so I seem to remember]. Even if you had a problem not the biggest issue in the world to fit new studs and a spacer but still a good few $$$ nonetheless that you can do without spending in these tight times.

Doubt you will notice the slightly retarded acceleration but you will cruise faster rev for rev but just remember the automatic is over geared to start with [& so was the manual S4 variant Stateside]

Regards

White Lightnin, what is your offset and rim size? How did you roll the fenders?

Rim size is stated (18 x 11 rear; 18 x 8 front)... I don't remember the offset, as the wheel manufacturer did not have applications listed for 928s. I lucked out with the first set sent to me... it was made for a 911 Turbo / widebody. There are no spacers & the rear control arms sit inside of the wheels.

Rolling the quarters was a 2 person job. Someone was in the driver seat going forward and backward very slowly, while I worked a wood baseball bat between the tire and the quarter wheel well lip. The bat actually turned while moving, so it also flattened the inside edge of the wheel well lip. I kept doing that until it looked like the tire would be free from contact during a hard turn. Then I duplicated it on the other side.

The front fenders are unaltered.

I have 295/30 X 18 tires on both 18 X 10 et 65 and 18 X 10 et 40 wheels. Both fit on the the S4 rear, but I'm not sure the et 40's would fit on the GTS without a smaller spacer between the hub and wheel (than the OE spacer). However, the et 40 wheels are very close to the outer fender edge on the S4, and it helps if the fender lip is rolled up like they are on the GT's and GTS's
