Well that was a fun drive down to Charlotte...I just love switching my route from I-81 due to the storm and having to traverse I-95 in the same storm for about 250 miles :/
Luckily we were behind a train of plows at a steady crawl of 35mph for most of the storm...left NY at 1:30pm yesterday; arrived in Charlotte at 4:30am this morning.
Barry, Sanjay, & the other Charlotte area members, what are your plans this weekend? I'd like to try and meet up with some of you for drinks or the like if peoples' schedules permit...you guys can PM me or post here and lets try and set something up!

I plan on being there as well... weather permitting of course.
I might even wash my S4 for the event... who knows?

For those that do not know me, I will be the good looking aloof guy with the goatee, an emerging targa top (with a clever combover), and a "wheres the coffee dammit" look in his eyes.

Mother Nature interrupts event... again.
Well... even without an official email -it appears as though the Cars-n-Coffee event will be called off again. With no news of a reschedule yet... it looks like it will be the first Saturday of March for its recurrence.
This is what was delivered today from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm... my snow covered shark:

Last weekend didn't play out the way all of us had hoped.... the weather turned for the worse Friday and the event was cancelled. Varying reports of whether it would pass Charlotte by meant that the roads were less than ideally prepped to handle it. That meant it was well into Saturday afternoon before things improved...
I apologize Mark for not being able to coordinate a few of us to get together... and that your primary house viewing turned out to be a bust.
Sunday ended up being a very nice day and James & I were able to meet up and head over to Sanjay's house for a quick visit... and were hoping to get a call from you while in between viewings. Dan had made previous plans, so he wasn't able to attend.
We discussed the Providence Downs fiasco and with the Full Disclosure laws -you could possibly be well-armed to be compensated by the realtor for your trip. In the very least if you were still interested in the property, you'd be justified to offer much lower for your inconvenience and for all the needed repairs & replacements that the realtor should have told you about.
Anyway, I hope you had some other decent alternatives to see while you were down and it wasn't a wasted trip. Hopefully, the missus gets feeling better as well and all will be good when you make the move back down to Charlotte in March!
Keep in touch with us in case another house hunting trip is in order before then... and weather permitting we can try to get together again...
