Smile Congratulations Z

Beautiful. I was also one of the lucky one's! My car doesn't start yet! Checked fuel relay/pump +starter relay and they are working.
I'm trying to get a reader for further troubleshooting.
Regards.

Thanks for the reply:
Well I want to buy the Timing belt for my car:
Do I need those like the roller, etc? Or just the Timing Belt.

WallyP,
I think I will PM you later on Parts. I need to buy. What type of payment etc.I will list the parts that I want to buy & recommended by reenlists.

Xlot,
Everything works in the car. Thanks for the link. I hope I do not have to change the whole speedometer.
Rob Edwards,
Yes- the dealer are expensive. Thanks for the link – I will Message them for parts price.
danglerb,

I even ask them (Porsche dealer) for the history of the car by giving the VIN no. They said it’s not in their database.

marweiss,
Which color so you get? Post pics 

Z
BTW- Do I nedd to worry about the Fuel line? - The mechanic said it’s still new & even have protective factory coat.

Is VIN within normal '92 MY ROW range or something else?

Code:
MY Model Market Smallest VIN Largest VIN Qty
--------------------------------------------------------
92 928 GTS ROW WP0ZZZ92ZNS800061 - 801015 955

Vilhuer,
^^ They don't even check their database- They just assume and said "Don't Have- Not in our Computer"- I'm guessing they are lazy. Not really friendly dealer I must say.

I look at the car in & out in my garage. This is what I found.

The color code:

BTW- I notice I don't have tools in the Porsche- It's empty?

That's a very nice car! I hope you can get completely caught-up with the maintenance, and enjoy it to its fullest. Are there any roads in Brunei where it can stretch its legs?

You have the same exterior color, and the same leather and carpet color as my car: Slate grey on classic grey. Only you have the red piping. Your car reminds me of what mine once looked like. The grey leather darkens over time.

Regarding the antilock and differential error message: I think my car gave the same messages last week during the smog test on the dyno. When only one axle moves, the PSD seems to get confused and turn itself off. That would be quite similar as not getting a signal from one of the ABS sensors, I believe. You should verify that the sensor wires are undamaged and not mixed-up with the wires from the brake pad sensors (if that's even possible).

Hello Nicole

Nice to see another slate grey 928 on rennlist.
There are no good roads over here. From one end to the other end takes only an hour. I will look for a suitable mechanic that knows 928s. I hope I can find a good online deal from the US(parts). That would be great. i will PM roger & wally for parts & need to compare the price.

Are you from Brunei? Where is Thomas's workshop?. I wasn't recommended by some people to Thomas. I was recommended to take the RNF workshop that service Rolls, Ferrari at Bunut. Please advice.

Yes from Brunei. Thomas place is at the traffic lights near Bunut & Telanai junction. These cars were ordered by HRH Prince Jefri and therefore QAF will not have records of it, futhermore the agent back then was Primier Motors.
There could be other shops out there to work on your car but this guy knows his stuff. He maybe a bit doggy but if you go around everyday till he finishes the work on the car, everything should be fine.
Another advise is just to buy the timing belt here as the shipping cost, costoms 20% tax and time won't be worth while. Only order major stuff from US & UK.

^^ Oh...I know that place- lots of Euro cars go there... I've seen a yellow 928 sitting at the bush & it's still there for years. LOL.

The problem is I live in KB & If i left the car at Thomas- The car will park overnight at the bush which I don't like.

Does Thomas sells timing belt & where else do you find Porsche parts?

Guys, I've spent thousands on new parts with 928sRUS.
This is a tiny outfit, but run by a big-time international commerce guy.
Its likely he can deliver parts, big and small, faster than your local folks can confirm an order with their suppliers. And, even with 20% duty, you will avoid what I suspect to be far-higher local markup.

Why not call him and ask if he has the belt. 8758282. The agent is busy as I think they only have to guys and many cars to fix. My Boxster is there over a month now. So I think they are crap.

OK- I will call but I still think the US is cheaper. I will order by Saturday &I can't drive the car yet..as no road road tax & blue card is still with BIA/Bandtoo.

Really? which colour goes to KB?

I think the Coral red/Rasberry red 928 GTS- is bought by a European guy. Purple GTS is bought by the chinese man. So I'm guessing it's the black & coral red...

Do the interior lights work? One odd quirk of 928's is that the fuse for the interior lights also handles the pulse-sender which drives the speedo If your interior lights don't work, then its a very cheap and easy fix.

If you look at the fuse/relay charts at www.928gt.com you'll be able to spot which is it (fuse 24 I think from memory on my '89, might be the same)

You do need to be careful of RHD parts (not so much for the timing belt job, however a lot of hoses in the engine bay are RHD-specific).

If you're not confident of being able to detect/find part numbers yourself in the Porsche parts catalogue, then I'd recommend Roger Tyson of 928srus - he's familiar with RHD cars and has provided me with RHD parts on several occaisions. For your help, RHD part numbers all start with 927, not 928.
Yes I notice the interior lights doest't works- Only lights it's the Dashboard.

Its fuse 25 in the GTS and all MY 90+ S4's. Takes a 7.5A fuse - that fused circuit covers the interior lights and speed pulse sender, so you get no Speedo as well as lights.
