Why are the wipers at attention? Was someone cleaning both windshields, or is that some sort of hot weather consideration?
Charley,
I was washing both cars. hehe.

Keep the pictures and stories coming. It's always interesting to see photos and hear about life in other parts of the world.
Nicole,
Yes I will & today a purple 928 chased me all the way & when I reach to the supermarket- He stop & we have a chat. He also got his 928 on the same day I bought my car at the Auction sales.

He's car is a S4 spec. Many things in his car doesn't works- The Speedo- All of it-RPM, Battery indicator, , Sunroof , windows etc. Only his engine is in good mechanical condition.

Wow, That's a lot of Mercs and Porsches...I'll take these 2. Good looking wheels on the 993 Turbo.

^^HAHA: I did want to make the number on the plates "smaller" but I will get in trouble with the law if I did that.
I also made a new thread on AC problem:

BTW some pics taken yesterday:
1)

2)

3) A 928 owner drop by when he sees our 928 in the shop & help us out on relays etc. Hehe.He also got his car from the same place where I got the car. Nice color!

Z - What a beautiful car you bought. I can't believe I missed this entire thread. In the side shot pic it looks like your rear spoiler is black. Is it a black rubber spoiler or is it just the sunlight?

Congrats on a beautiful car. Too bad you can't import it to the U.S. It would be worth a small fortune here with the options and incredibly low miles. It is a museum quality car. Did you by any chance save the original tires when you replaced them. Could be worth some good money to a collector or if you were to someday put your car in a show in another country. Just fantastic. Many here in the U.S. wish there were a stash of cars like this somewhere in hiding.

Good luck.

Hello - Thanks- yes- my car is the only GTS out there one with the black spoiler- The mechanic who takes care of the cars - They painted it - The rest is original color-

I did not save the tires. It's from 92'.Now you said it,I regret- I didn't know it can be a collector piece . That day- I was very busy to even think to save the tires.

This morning- The Air tubes arrive from Roger .I ordered the S4 version.

The current GTS air tubes in my engine looks worn out. I hope the other parts(TB, AC parts etc) from Roger will arrive next week.

Who painted it, mechanic? Matte black painted spoiler was also available as option in GTS with option code M596. Its not same as black spoiler used in '87-91 models. This later style has smooth surface and is basically matte black painted version of '91 S4/GT optional M595 painted to body color spoiler which was stock in GTS. Earlier S4/CS/SE/GT style is rubbery non smooth version.

Z,

I would suggest saving all of the parts that you take off if possible.

I have a smooth -not rubbery- pretty much matte (to the point I found it ugly and wax it to make it more shiny) black spoiler on my 89 S4. So is that standard for my year or not? Most I've seen are the textured kind. My car is totally stock as far as I have found.

^^^^^^
Standard AFAIK... I would have to see/feel it to be sure. My '88 has a texture. My '87 wing is smooth but "rubber" coated...as it feels anyway. I thought the '89 was textured like the '88, but maybe it was the smoother rubber finish for that year.

Pheww, for a minute there I thought I had some cool non-standard option

Although it is definitely not rubbery, it has a hard finish but doesn't look painted.

Aryan,

Not sure what you have then... It should be a rubbery finish or body colored, or maybe it takes after the '92's... and was just painted flat. Strikes me that it is more like a GTS wing that got primer on it but never got painted.
