Nice engine Rob! No dual venting on the drivers side?

Nope, but I have to confess that I don't know why. Not sure whether Greg has tried it and it didn't help, or it's just not necessary for a non-boosted application, or ?????

I think, its like a GTS setup, it only has one hose coming from the drivers side connecting to the passengers side. the other hole is plugged.
Is This worth while to do on a stock S4 engine?

Judging by the amount of oil in the lower plenum of my street-driven GT after only ~1500 miles or so, I'd say it's a worthwhile upgrade. DR still sells a kit with all the little parts you need to upgrade to the GTS setup, though you'd better do it in the context of an intake refresh, since the filler neck needs to come off. If I didn't need to pass visual for California smog compliance I'd also seriously consider one of DR's SharkVent setups too.

I've been running my boosted GT (8.5psi) for over a year with fittings in both driver's side cam cover holes open to the atmosphere and there is not a hint of oil anywhere around them.

You can't overstate the effort required to make sure each fastner is the right one, right place and in great shape. The detail that goes into that is insane, and I've never seen another shop capable or willing to do that kind of work on any car, especially a 928 (with the exception of Porsche Motor Sports, which only maintains stuff like full Race GT3's, 917's, CGT's, etc.)

Greg spent forever making sure all the bits were fresh and the right part on mine, made harder by the fact it was an upgraded motor in an 85 chassis and some parts are NLA at any price.

Just be sure to keep your mitts off my motor and car when looking for parts while it's there visiting - I have every single one of them serialized or marked with invisible dye! hahaha

That is just one of the problems with smog compliance, there is no good reason that I can understand why a car that has less emissions should not pass, regardless of what has been done to it.
We have the same tests in Georgia as CA, with the exception of the visual that may be required, but not done.

With the pieces we've added to the system, there won't be oil in the plenum any more....

Yes. There are a few other things that help with this problem. I can't show them here, because one of the vendors will "knock them off" and have them for sale next Tuesday.

Hey, I'm not saying it doesn't help, in fact I believe they do, otherwise I wouldn't have them. I'm just saying no oil comes out that way.

Another day, and a bunch of progress, and another 2 or 3 things that would have stopped me in my tracks. We discovered a couple of problems with the (used) TPS sensor, FOE harness and plug wires that I had, which required a new TPS sensor, a bunch of loom repairs and diagnostics. Had I been doing this home alone, despite knowing what I know about how the TPS works and even having checked it with my MM, I would have had a wonky TPS- While the idle switch was clocked and clicking, the resistance when closed was all over the place (not sure why, need to do an autopsy on it.). Likewise, Greg had me check resistance on all the plug wires before installing them on the engine. They look newish, the insulation is all soft and supple, why bother, right? Well, had I not checked, I wouldn't have found the completely dead/corroded boot connector on plug wire three. And I would have scratched my head as to why the engine was running on 7 cylinders at startup. Much easier to check now...

Anyhoo, Greg got them all sorted out and we would have finished it yesterday had I not needed to run out the door unexpectedly early to get kiddos

Obligatory pics:
