All said and done, after 5 years of 928 ownership… I can say the drive to SITM 2009 is hands down my favorite Porsche Day.

I found driving in the rain a heck of a lot more challenging then driving in the sun. I thought I bite the farm on a couple wet corners. Once you understand what these cars can do on wet pavement, it gives you a lot more confidence when dry.

Can't wait to do it again this year!

I also have had a track day in the rain. While a sunny day would have been better for higher speeds, driving in the rain really made me appreciate how predicitable these cars are when the rear gets loose.

I was also looking for the thread that would normally be started by Andrew (darn newbies, but glad to have them)

Actually just looking forward to SITM, the drive, and all the beautiful cars in the middle of that field.

Maybe someone can call the hotel and get us a group deal: http://www.comfortsuites.com/hotel-a...ennessee-TN040 The current rate for June 3th is $84.95

Another option is Royal Extended Stay Alcoa. They have good reviews on expedia and its $39.60 a night if you show a corporate credit card or if you are senior citizen (this is for you Blown 87, lol, JOKE)....

Good idea, if it saves me money I can act my age.

I got all this gray the old fashioned way, I lived long enough.
The bad attitude just kind of happened.
My dogs love me though.
