Default 928 cut off check oil light

i tried posting this earlier but the website kept going down. today after turning my car on for two minutes it cut off and the text on the dashboard said check oil. I added some more oil and it would not turn on. the engine spins / its no seized up. any suggestions? i am going to drain all the oil and refill it today. the engine was cold when this happened. Anyways I live in san diego in case some one is bored and wants to scrafice their time to help me out.

Most likely a RELAY caused the engine to stop and there was no oil pressure after it stopped. You have three relays which can turn off the car at anytime they wish....fuel pump ,ignition , LH Brain. try swapping in the horn relay in each one...

Default thanks

im getting my carpet steam cleaned i am going to run downstairs when he finishes to try swapping out the relays. also what are the chances of rod bearing failure right after the previous engine had thrust bearing failure? I had the mechanic installed that superclamp from 928 motorsports. im not sure if rod bearing failure has anything to do with thrust bearing failure. i have bad luck, very bad. I bought a passat a couple years ago and the shaddy used car dealer took out all the light bulbs in the dashboard. when i sold it dirt cheap to my brother in law the turbo blew up.

Sorry if I missed it but what year car is this, and before you add or change any oil.. what does the dip stick show w/car on level ground?
This could be a timing belt failure, check the basics yes, before swaping relays.

Few things are more basic than some $12 relays which are known to fail quite often. The car ran for two minutes then died if a t-belt jumped then the damage is done but no reason to think it did. Rod bearings when they fail it rattles and bangs but will usually run for quite a while before the affected rod breaks and jumps out the side of the engine. The problem is often something simple you just need to see what is missing....spark ,fuel ,injector pulse....
