Yes, but from the middle of instructions on post 30:

.........................Loosen the tensioner a lot and pull the timing belt off the cams.
*Put a wrench on the left cam bolt and line it up.

Front side of the lower half of the bellhousing on the passenger side of the car.

Remove the clutch slave cylinder - shouldn't need to disconnect the pipe work just carefully bend it out of the way - Flywheel lock bolts into the slave cylinder holes using the slave cylinder bolts.

I found I also had to pull the starter since the line to the slave would not clear the oil pan bolts or the back of the starter.

Volvo's and some others are really bad about that.

I have yet to see a 928 do that, but I check every one I do a T belt on with a dial indicator on number one cylinder, even if it is off a little they will not be set up right.

Here is a picture of me checking everything when i pulled the engine, I also checked it again when I timed the cams.

Hi!
o.k,so i have now turned my balancer the right way..
I turned my engine until the cam marks looked good before i locked it down and turned my balancer.
So what do you guys think..does it look o.k or not?
Can it be one tooth off...did not line up perfectly on the tdc mark.

Hi again.
Going to turn it to TDC and see how my cam timing marks line up then.
Maybe it will give a better indication if my timing is off.

Hi!
So this is what it looks like with my balancer turned perfeckt on the TDC mark.
I think it looks like my cam marks line up quite nice..

Hmm, looks good to me, but there is still the ignition timing and the cam to cam gear relationship to consider. If the cam gears have ever been removed for example, or if the ignition rotors were 'adjusted'.

If you have access to a PK32V'r tool you can verify the cam timing is correct. Then its on to troubleshooting the ignition timing. After that, if you still have problems, it could be MAS related.

it looks fine. nothing you can do about that line up. what counts is how the cams are adjusted.
if you are at TDC and the cam pulleys are off their marks, its fine, unless they are off more than 1 tooth. under one tooth and cant change that. it is what it is!
