Default what interior do I have?

I searched a bit on the search feature but didn't find a magical chart to tell me.

On the inside door jam of my '88 S4 only half the sticker remains, and here is what is remaining;

35V
MARINEB...
F7

I assume that the "MARINEB..." is Marine Blue, since the car seems to resemble that too. But do the other numbers allow any of you 928 gurus to know what the interior is?

Thank you for sharing your expertise!

I found more in the maintenance booklet, I'll just spell it all out below;

WP0ZZZ 92ZJS840247
928 920
M2842-813 62812-
L35V NM
C00 139 298 326 650

Does that help? Thanks!

WP0ZZZ92ZJS840247: RoW 1988 928

928 920: Left hand drive 928
M2842-813: It is more certainly M28/41-81J. The M28/41 is the engine type for a manual car, M28/42 for an automatic.
62812-: Gearbox type, G28/12 for a manual S4
L35V: Color paint, Marineblau Metallic
NM: Color and sort or leather/cloth type. But I don't know how to decode this!
C00: Delivered in Germany
139: Seat Heating System, Left Seat
298: Catalyst together with Manual Transmission (87-89)
326: Radio, Blaupunkt Berlin IQR 88 with ARI
650: Electrical Sliding Roof

Wow, thanks for the information, 928cs, you're good at this!

Matt, I would have guessed Linen or maybe champagne based on the color. The seats are quite light and the carpet is almost white. Athough, who knows if the carpet is original. If anyone can confirm Matt's post that F7 = Linen, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again for all the help.

I'll try to get some pictures taken this weekend. I just picked up the car today (finally!) and am loving it. It's running great, just need to buy a few things for it this winter;

A working clock

New steering wheel (thinking about the "Genuine Porsche 928 sport steering wheel" from 928 Specialists, pictured below, does anyone have an opinion?)

New wheels (thinking about some 18" speedlines I found used, but the front offset is only 49. I've been told I need at least 55 in the front for the 928).

A2814 = 4sp automatic for ROW S4 would make more sense since engine code is for automatic. Unless this is some strange ROW model with US A2812 gearbox.

Are you sure? I think F7 is different style paint code for marine blue. If I remember right there isn't interior color info in paint sticker in driver door opening.

Sorry, I have made a mistake.
The engine is certainly a M28/41 81J matched to a G28/12 11J, manual transmission.
The code 298 indicates a manual transmission, with a catalyst converter.

Mogans, can you confirm the engine is a manual?

By the way, you should find the same sticker as the one from the maintenance booklet under the carpet of the trunk.

I agree with Erkka that the inside color is not provided by the paint sticker.
Erik, can you check the inside code of your car?

The 928 Sport Steering wheel is awesome for our cars.
I sell a lot of them for $400 each. Black I have in stock. Some of the colors are not so easy to get.
