Thanks for posting it again. Sounds just like I remembered. Would love to see a cockpit view of that speed!

Wow! In a 928...
Ok. I did 150+mph a couple of times on the autobahn as Schocki suggested. Just cruising along at 4200 rpm with my 928 s2 with 1987 5spd gearbox. Very steady at those speeds. Just have to watch the traffic in front if you, but no worries about the 928.
But that is nothing compared to 200mph plus... Again: wow.

The sound reminded me of the Le Mans Classic 2010: awesome speed in 40 year old cars. Doing 180 mph... On average!!!
Watch the following classic movie about the gt40. Some classic quotes also.
Quote at 1:00
'at the straight every car is flat out, except the 917...'..... Lol...
'we are approaching 240 mph' .... Lol...
And while the car is passing the trees at 200 mph+ 'in the past you had to worry about which tree you would hit if you got a puncture, but now they installed good barriers, so it creates great confidence in the drivers...'. Lol... I guess everything is relative in time and space.

There's also a cockpit view of the previous race, blowing the engine at 189mph, in this post (if it's still available for downloading):

Full thread on that race here:
