Default 1986 928 intake refresh for dumbies

I still am not a fan of search....
We have the intake off the car for a while, and all of the pictures we took are many miles away.
Does anyone have a link to the pictures for the 85 or 86 intake refresh - and did I mention I'm kinda slow - oldhieghmers and all that - and will trade beer for plenty of pictures.
Any and all help appreciated..... TIA and heres your beer

Mike what do you need help with?

As far as the intake goes there are 4 peices and you can see that you need to match up the 'half moon' cut out on both side that is the middle of each side. The one with the sensor on it is the driver's side front, the rest go together in only one way by matching up the cutout for the center bolts

Vacuum line routing, wiring runs under and over, plug wire braces, the usual suspects.... blah blah blah

Mike,

Some pictures I took during my rebuild: You can find a few that may help your aging eyes.

also here you go

Picture 1 below is the passenger side front acuator that runs through the hole with the breather to the front of the throttle body

Picture 2 goes from this more toward the rear of the passenger side through the rear oil breather hole and to the vacuum port marked in red before the heater valve hose

The bottom spider and X above:
to the other side of the vacuum port before your heater valve
3 to the 2 dampners and 1 FPR
one goes back to the firewall and up then heads toward the pasenger side along the firewall
can't remember the rest because they were too obvious that i didn't have to think about them....

Wiring goes into valley and behind the fuel rail (under intak obviously) if you are using stock rails you will see where it ran where it was tied down

front passenger wiring hook ties in to the pass side coil ground, forgot rear I think it was self explanatory?

I hope something here helped, the other pictures above from others should help too

Thanks Mark!
I had asked for all kinds of pictures to be taken, and they never made it back to the shop.
Next time I know better - I'll use my camera.
I'm standing here taking out bolts as my memory improves......
Here's a shot...................

Mike - here are a few threads dealing with the intake R&R on an 86 (mine and another). There are some pics and links to additional sources. Also, I took about 150 pics during my job, so if you are looking for specific things, let me know and I'll send specific pics.

not sure of where you are on the rebuild but.
I would install the
water bridge then
the oil fill tube then
the intake parts.
It does look great though, and if you take some 3M paint protectant film and add some to the intake pods where the intake tubes run, the coatings wont get damaged
