I did a little searching, but didn't find much factual actual 928 related. 84% of the trade ins were trucks and vans, only about 109,000 cars.

I may have done it to the 80 auto I have but it was too old. After seeing what they do to the cars that were turned in, no f@cking way. It is a horrible thing to see a perfectly good car destroyed like that. Thats not a dignified way for a 928 to go.

Have you guys seen how the vehicles traded in to the program are "disabled"? It would literally brake your heart to know what the engine has to go through before the car is disposed of. First they remove all the oil from the engine of your old car. Then they pour a mixture of glass beads and water into the oil filler. The car is started and allowed to run at 3000+ rpm until it finally dies. Doesn't sound too bad until you actually HEAR it! It sounds like the car is dying a slow, agonizing death. It screams like it's being tortured. I saw a video of a newer Volvo going through that and I couldn't even watch...

The Volvo was painful to watch. She put up quite a battle though. More than the Olds did.
