I thought titanium wasn't the best material for valves...???

its great if they are replaced regularly. Not something i would put in a street engine that i didnt want to open up every 2,000 miles though.

My Infiniti M45's Nissan VK45DE engine comes with titanium valves and is designed to run forever in a street car. So titanium valves are streetable, when done right with right valve seats, valve guides, etc. In fact, because lighter titanium valves allow for lower spring loads and lighter other valvetrain components, the net effect is that the engine is more reliable and runs longer. I've been told.

If designed as a system, it should be better.

In a 928, I have no idea.

I can believe this but you have to design & implement the whole package.
