I wonder if the bad guy (whoever that may be...) had an ebay account called something like Missingparts4cars or Missingpartsforcars. Don't laugh, the name is quite fitting if you have ever tried to buy 928 bits from him.
I've only been around here for almost three years, but I read a crap load of stuff so forgive me for being quite new to the cummunity. I may have read the warnings but not taken them seriously enough, I really only sink my teeth into the technical side of our cars. But how true is :-

I'm going to have to do some explainig as, untill the SC bracket issue, I had excellent experinece with John. He did me a huge favour, when picking up my parts car transmission, he then took some interrior parts across the border, then re packed it (due to rain) and sent it to the proper buyer in TX. Lokks like, for whatever reason, there was some miss-commnication and the SC brackets were never sent. They are being sent as I type so, when they arrive I will post it too.

 

That makes zero sense. On one hand you guys are saying he's brain damaged and incoherent, and now this very eloquent missal was authored by him? I think not.

At the end of the day you guys are all making MASSIVE LEAPS to conclusions. Jack, I have had dealings with both parties involved in the past, and both were perfectly positive. Do you KNOW FOR A FACT that Dozman has done something wrong here? Bold and risky words, accusing him of something when you aren't a party to this dispute. The fact that you may have had issues with Dozman in the past, doesn't mean he did what you say he did here. I've heard from a number of very reputable people on this issue and there are a great many facts in addition to the little dribblet posted here ... I really do not know who did what, but one thing I do know, is that you, and the others here, and I ... do not have all the facts.

You guys turned from a lynch mob against Garrity, to a lynch mob against Dozman. And all that with no info.

 

Btw Randy, I do believe a "douchier" is French of a guy who makes things douchy ... similar to a chocolatier?

Re. John Dozbush - he was banned from Rennlist by John D. for similar unethical practices a couple years ago.

His track record is also quite douchy.

I have also had dealing with John Dozsbusch, he went out of his way to help with the purchase of a set of camshafts to be delivered to Elgins for modifications after issues with the freight companies , being simply incompetent , & as I am in Australia , John did a wonderful job making sure the cams arrived at elgins , after many false starts . I only wish I could get the same service from companies here in Australia .

The lynch mob mentality is... as the lynch mob mentality does (or, stupid is... as stupid does -take your pick).

People dismiss this activity here as "hey that's what sharks do... a feeding frenzy"... and, that may have been a fine explanation -in grade school.

I got lynched trying to make sense of the story while it was being dosed in very small increments -and attempting to help others keep the players straight. No, I have no dog in this hunt -nor do I know the players personally or professionally. My interest merely lies in seeing justice prevail and keeping fellow 928'ers (like myself) from being duped from these or other con men.

Grade school and lynch mob mentality controls this forum... post something that the core group doesn't like (or think they don't because they skim the words) -and a pigpile ensues. I would even hazard a guess that most of them still listen to the same music from their high school "glory days". So much for being in the 'here and now'...

I was kidding about the word Brutha ... just sounds like a French profession of some kind ... "Je suis un Douchier" About Dozman's track record ... not arguing with you there, just saying, I know there are a lot of other facts and with the parts missing, I'm not ready to say he stole the parts. I'd like to know where the parts went, and deciding today that Dozman stole the parts, would end the investigation. I think we should do as Greg (a real standup and honourable guy to my knowledge over the years) asks and keep an eye out. He clearly has facts, as does Garrity, that have not been explained here. There are other parties involved also, not just these two men. That's why I say, we shouldn't decide the question of where the parts are, based on a douchy track record. In my opinion, the strong opinions expressed here, over Dozman's track record, will not help us find the parts.

 

Yeah, the word was first applied to me and my attempts to clarify this very (seeming purposefully) confusing thread.

I addressed it once already to someone that knows not the definition of moderation -either as a moderator nor as an individual poster. Sure, he'll probably be a moderator again -and ban me for something trumped up... and thereby prove my point.

But who cares really... the forum is for the cars and the owners, to keep the cars operating in the manner which they were built (or better) and to keep the cars & owners safe from thieves, cons, dupes, frauds, etc.

This thread is not about me, and ultimately not even about Greg Gray. There are 17 pages at this point that show this to be true. I still say that with so little information actually known or given -there is little that can be done, and the thread should be closed by Greg.
