I haven't heard details or final results but here are some early numbers posted.
Times are broken down into 3 stages, Glen Cove, 16 mile, and finish. They only have his time for 2 stages posted so I don't know if they haven't updated the information or if they didn't finish. His times look very good though.

Carl Fausett / Guido Hamacher #928 '78 Porsche 928 Glen Cove- 6:09.334 16 mile- 9:17.098

In comparison the fastest guys on the mountain running Glen Cove- 4:34.100 - 5:26.302 and 16 mile- 7:08.458 - 8:25.242

I wasn't able to make it to the mountain today but it was a good day for racing no bad weather and temps. were lower than usual

I guess they have been having some rain delays. They got stopped due to weather. They had flywheel issues the past 2 days and Carl mentioned this when we talked and I forgot to mention it. I will update his final time when I hear it.

Looks like another 3rd place finish.
Congrats on another great run up the mountain. The 928 was well represented.

Yup 3rd place....not bad at all.....so a couple AWD evo's beat him in class.....EVO's are serious road-rally cars....& can have 800hp with ease....

AWD beasts vs. RWD Supercharged Shark on a course that has asphalt, dirt, and gravel.... Not a bad showing at all considering weather ended up being a factor also.

Makes me a very proud 928 owner indeed.

Carls other finish time 2007 was 15:13 so a big improvement this year first place that year did an 11:30. The course is so long and there is so little practice that you need the co-pilot to call out the turns because trees and rocks look very much alike at 90 MPH !

you know it is 12.4 miles with 156 TURNS ! By comparison Le Mans is run on an 8.48 mile track with 21 turns and many people have commented about how long it takes to learn that track ! And yes the speeds are much much faster but the drop offs not nearly as " interesting "

There is not much point of reference to the corners when you are at speed. With 156 turns if you are off on one you can end your life real fast. There are alot of teams with a nav. guy. I think the 200lbs is a small factor when weighed against losing track of the course.

Congrats Carl, Great job!! I missed hearing it live on line as I did last year. Nice to see you kept the same navigator, Guido. I also enjoyed the book from last year. Cant wait to hear how it went.
