Paul beat me to it... I was going to show my cup holder and might still...since mine also has a removable tray over the large storage area which is PRETTY COOL! Oh, the cup holder works VERY WELL in case you were wondering!

Everyone knows that as soon as you finish a beer you should throw the bottle against a highway sign.

Cup holders are for social drinkers.

Is it chilled/cooled by an A/C loop like the glove box, Paul?

Paul needs to change the size so it can fit the larger bottles of beer/soda haha. I like that a lot, very clean.

Does the cup holder come with a long long straw?

I'm just trying to imagine taking hands off the steering wheel to grab a drink when approach warp factor nine.

+1

During a track event, only toss out your empties on left hand turns, this makes it easier for the corner workers to clean up after the session.

There were (at least) two depths of centre storage 'cassette holders' available on 928's - IIRC the deeper one was an option and is rarer.
I have the deeper one in my '90 S4.

Cheers

No ****, IF you'd need a cup holder ,you're not drinking your beer fast enough. Then you shouldn't be behind the wheel with a cold one.
