Seems aweful pricey for that rough of a car. I have seen pretty much complete for just a tad more. Not to mention if its been in that field too long, who knows that you might find inside it! HAHA

ha, we were just discussing that car via e-mail with the local Austing gang. Pretty tough!
There's another car at Austin V-dub worth looking at. 82? euro 5spd non sunroof 300hp. Brown, chocolate interior. Broken cam. apparently car is in pretty decent shape. They want 1800. Just FYI.

If someone was trying to sell that thing to me, I'd "run and drive"... AWAY! (ok, pretty weak...)

I take "rough" to mean "non-existent". The thing look's like a bunch of rennlist vultures already took a pass at it.

Frightening!!

Thanks Lizard. I passed on the euro, but if any locals pick her up I'll pass along the whereabouts of a good cam.

Let's hope it is the same car. I remember the picture on that one sitting in the field and thinking that it deserved some better fate.

Sitting that visibly out in the open next to a highway... is this abandoned or stolen?

Now, on the CL ad -it has clearly been vandalized and has a boat parked next to it....
