WOW what great accents and detail Brian put into Sharky...gives me lots of ideas for my 1988 928 S4 AT #0714 Indischrot red w/ black int....nicknamed 'Stocker' by local group and at SITM..Congrats and we are all looking forward to Frenzy13 in Oct. Also, a track weekend in Aug. How close are our 928's ? Last 4 VIN ? Close? Oct 87 manufactured. Good Luck !! Make sure you get to go to SharkTober Fest !!

Sharky is looking GREAT & up to standards...... I'm glad Sharky found an appropriate new caretaker.... Its really hard to get pictures to convey the gloss of a fresh detailing..... Clearly your guy does good work....

This photo looks like you might have been torturing your 2/6 at this very moment!!!! Was your foot to the floor here??? I hope you get to use some of the Sharky fund to get the Widow back on the track soon...

There are a couple high G full throttle left turns at Thunderhill that are well known rod bearing eaters for 928's and 944's.....I hope the new and improved "Widow" solves many of these "issues"....

Good stuff Malcolm. I last spoke with Stephen as he was migrating to New Mexico from SoCal. He was trying to market the car then but had let a lot of the scheduled services lapse. So he parked it and was offering it as it sat. I recommended that he do the work to make it a perfect package but that wasn't an option it seemed. It was still in most excellent condition otherwise.

The car has been well cared for by its current owner in the DFW area and maintained by Sean.
I last saw the car at the 2014 Third Coast and it was in great condition; I hope to be driving it to this years event

Time flys by....I still miss Sharky......the excellent news is she is well taken care of in Dallas, wrenching by Sean R, everything up to date! Detailing by our own Andy K....that’s about the best care you can get.... (well except me and bill ball :>).

absoultely. I am still interested in Sharky....unfortunately I am hoping to finalize my fiscal options with approval from CFO as soon as I can.... garage is a challenge like for everyone... the great news is Sharky’s owner is an excellent steward..... what’s silly ironic is the CFO says I never should have sold Sharky...she is excellent and remembering and mentioning lost other cars and race cars that cost lots of $$$$$

Sharky Update: we picked up the car Nov. '18 for the 3rd Coast event in Texas from its caretaker Roger who generously took posession and stored the car after we bought it from Canada. Sean looked at the car to ensure it was good to go and we then drove it from Double Oaks to Marble Falls and all the events at 3rd Coast. We then went down to San Antonio to visit family on the wifes side then onto some quiet time at a lake house before heading back to the Dallas area..........~928 miles. Me being me had to look under the hood and noticed the the coolant level was a little low so added some water (it was all we had) to bring it up to level making note to attend to the problem.
As we flew home and left the car in Texas we asked if Sean could look at the car again and provide some troubleshooting as to why it would lose coolant. Long story short it needed a new rad which led to; transmission service, brake flush, fuel filter, engine oil and filter change, spark plugs etc............essentially maintenance catch up that I would have done at home if the car was here. During the servicing, as one project leads to another on any 928, we noticed some of the wiring wasnt in good shape and the motor mounts were collapsed so we had the front harness replaced and new MMs installed. The car now is smooth as glass and looking good too

Now the only question left, when is Spring Fling?

VERY interesting...yes Devek did the rebuild in 2004 and I am quite sure got new mounts then circa 86k miles. But after all this time, makes sense they might have dropped. All the records are in the binder with the car I hope. I kept immaculate records, literally every tank of gas for MPG etc.
I got a new toy this past month, not a 928 (as I still have Sean's 5 speed in rehab).... A 2008 Corvette Z06 in atomic orange with only 22k miles! Its a complete beast with the 7L engine, talk about torque...reminds me of Doc Browns strokers....can destroy the 325 wide rear tires with ease...
