Default 6-Speed conversion for 928

OMG - this is still around????

http://www.motodyne.com/frames/porsche_928_6spd.html

Reading through a recent vendor thread, I started having flashbacks to some old Motodyne threads so I decided to do a search.

I can't speak to their porsche stuff, but to the best of my knowledge all of their Audi stuff is junk and they are considered to be a rip off website on those forums.

Same here, reason why I was surprised to see the 6-speed conversion.

Buckaroo Bonzai is a secondary reference.
Yoyodyne is a fictional defense contractor introduced in Thomas Pynchon's V. (1963) and featured prominently in his novel The Crying of Lot 49 (1966)

Let us not forget the name is reminiscent of several real high-tech companies, including Teradyne, which was founded a few years before Pynchon wrote The Crying of Lot 49, and Rocketdyne, an aerospace company that manufactured, among other things, propulsion systems.

The "dyne" is the standard unit of force in the centimeter-gram-second system of units (largely obsolete but still widely recognized), derived from the Greek word dynamis meaning "power" or "force."

I'm afraid the 7 speed will only be DSG dual clutch system with flappy paddle shifting.

Yoyodyne is actually a very respectable high quality racebike parts supplier. There is nothing "Wack" about them. I have dealt with Fred the owner of Yoyodyne for years and he is a great person to do business with.
He got the name Yoyodyne from a sci-fi book or movie and Yoyodyne was the name of some alien propulsion system I believe (can't remember what he told me, it was years ago.)
