STOLEN RED 928 s4 vin WP0JB0926HS860326 update.

Our 928 is now ordered to be recovered . As some of you may know already our car was taken about 8 months ago from our driveway. I reached out to this forum when I received a phone call and some emails that it was spotted in PA. Anyhow, I just want to thank all the fine folks that assisted in getting the word out.

In March 07 we bought our 928 from a used car dealer in PA via ebay. . This Porsche was delivered to our home, at the time I could not drive due to a surgery from a motorcycle mishap. So I had it delivered. My son and I spent many evenings working on the car, doing the most typical repairs such as t-belt, worn steering components, remedy all oil leaks, and all the things that wear on a 20 year old car. Well 5 months later the car goes missing/ STOLEN. Our 928 was originally from Florida and spent about 90 percent of it's life there so it was a very clean car, we were upset when it went missing.

This is what transpired: unknowing to us the delivery guy took a copy of the paperwork during the delivery and one key. He later forged some of the info and filed for a lost title. He received a title from Penn DOT for our car then walked into a small police department and told an "officer" his car was stolen. The car was ultimately taken from our driveway by the Police who took it via a phone call from said officer from another department, not a report just a simple phone call. They intern handed it over to the police department that asked them to pick it up. This police department had an officer that was working hand in hand with the delivery guy.
The delivery guy with help from one officer resold the car an capitalized.
Now the cars current owner becomes a second victim, who most likely will file a suit like I did against a "Dirty cop "and a drug addict delivery guy both working together like two brothers with different mothers. "Family ties"

I learned today the dealer was fined in PA for selling about 100 cars without a dealers license. Our 928 was 1 of the 100 cars he was fined for.. so like the delivery guy and the cop the dealer was far from perfect also.
DA is looking into a few more cars that went "missing"

Well with this info it sure clears up a lot of the unknowns that were starting to surface.
Glad you get the car back and the bad guy gets his hands out of the pie

IIRC a few apolgies might also be in order.......... food for thought

\
hey epmd, you might want want to rethink your words, they have a nasty habit of returning, only worse. As far as your car, i hope that you can get it returned, I think at some point of your ownership you didnt do the right thing and thus your actions like your words will show you what your creating. Stan

So I apologise for my words, goodluck with your car/...Stan

OK, that should do it.

If the car was 'stolen' and found on your property, how did it come about that you were not questioned about the theft by the local PD? So, they just came to your place, towed the car away? hmmm.

So the delivery driver did it !! Just when you think you have seen all the ways to screw people someone comes up with another ! Moral of the story do not let the delivery driver have any of the paperwork. What a mess. Hope it all turns out well.

The dirty cop (imagine my shock) helped this scumbag resteal cars over and over. Is it normal to have stolen car in a drive way and cops to just drive it away and not arrest the homeowner for having an alleged stolen car in your driveway?

I'd sue the entire PD too, its more than a single cop. Where is the oversight of the PD? He has to file paper work on stolen vehicle recovering and his commanding cop isn't asking why the homeowner(you) wasn't arrested. Your describing a scene much like the corrupt cop and mechanic in the first Vacation movie.

Just when I was about to trust cops again this news comes along and totally misunredeems myself of that trust between the public and police that was never there to begin with.

You say the car is missing, and then that it has a new owner, which one? Who did the judge order to return the car? I'm with Sean on this, No way the cops just took the car without questioning the homeowner. Shark or not this still smells fishy.

being in possession of stolen property gets you at least an arrest and a seat in front of a local commissioner/ Magistrate in this case, who decides your bond. I still call bull**** on the whole mess and say the guy is an aspiring writer trying out his scrawlings here to see if they are believable. Or it simply could be this guy is on the pipe. Sigh. Who knows??

I still don't understand how, even with police involved, this would ever work. There would be a record of the title application in PA and how would that work if a title was issued in your state? Once that happens PA should have gotten notice to cancel the PA title. If the car was never properly retitled after you bought it, you would have dated paperwork of the sale that would predate the ill-gotten PA title and there would be a record of who got the PA title, so that criminal mastermind would soon be in trouble.

I also do not get how the car is 'recovered' after being reported stolen by a person posing as the previous owner. Seems to me if the delivery driver had a key and could get a duplicate title in the PO's name (using the notary at the bad dealership I suppose) it would be easier just to go get the car and drive it away. Having two different people, one of them fake, reporting the same car as stolen seems to me like it'd cause a problem.

The PA duplicate title application, after the ebay sale, would also appear in the Carfax and that'd be a clue.

Any way you slice it, there would be a new report of this car being stolen while it's being sold or recovered and sold back in PA, and the new owner would be on record and easy enough to find.

Weird... or just one of those internet fish stories.

The car is missing but was registered so it is assumed it has a new owner. Regarding the practice or lack of good Police work, I want to believe most of the law is working for the good, like all professions it has a few bad apples.

If the cop was in on it why would he question the home owner, he was there to essentially steal the car.

Horse**** you don't file a suit against a dirty cop.

I belive that 9 of 10 cops are corrupt at some point, but this story f*cking star wars man.
Good troll I give a 4/10
2 points for originality

Go ahead try to sue a cop, if this is real and your suing a cop that already stoled your car, he'll probably pull you over, taser you, plant some drugs on you, or there will be some in bag in the back seat of his patrol car, that he'll 'discover' you hide there. Try that and wake up end dead.

Try going to the news or DA outside his jurisdiction.
