'Twas taken directly from Chuck's site without a hat tip to Chuck or Rixter. Sorry! I of all people should know better than to not reference the data.

Price range & mileage - still trying to figure out that part as prices are all over the place and I'm still pretty ignorant in terms of what to ask and what's reasonable.

I've included a picture below to make Nicole drool

And no, it isn't for sale at a non-insane price.
You tease! Basically, that's what I'd like to have...sigh...

Beautiful example...

Seems I've set my goals a little high

...but I do appreciate you putting it in perspective. Seems I should either become a little more flexible in my selection of colors or develop a little patience...

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm unfamiliar with ROW 928. If I may, please explain. I've loved the 928 all my life but really know very little of the terminology.

Thanks in advance.

That is pretty sweet...but my dad had a blue Porsche when I was growing up and I guess I've grown biased.

Patience and a little bit of luck will help. You'll need to be quick on the trigger as well.

Example - I had always liked Velvet Red and had tracked one particular car through three owners, never being in position to jump on it whenever it came up for sale. Fortunately when the one I have now popped up, I had the funds and was the first of many to call.

My car was also one that had not been previously documented, so it was a relative unknown. Since my purchase, the database of these cars/colors has been largely filled in due to the yeoman's work of ChuckZ and Rixter. It's much harder for a rare car to slip under the radar these days, making a specific car or color all the more difficult to land.

Best wishes on your search, those blue ones are gorgeous. If I didn't have this Velvet GT, I'd want a Midnight Blue or Amazon Green GTS.

+1. I got my '93 GTS 5-speed for $22K by just jumping on a car (sight unseen, no PPI....) before it got advertised to the general public, and had I just shipped it here instead of trying to drive an uninspected car 1000 miles, it might not have blown up on the drive home (https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...eap-twice.html) No biggie, it's getting a stroker motor sometime later this year.

I lurked on this board for several years before I bought my first car. You're smart to get yourself edumacated before taking the plunge, but who knows, the right car may appear at any time.

+2 on the quick trigger. My current GT came up for sale last year, I wasn't exactly in the position to buy it but I somehow managed to make it all come together within 30 days. Needless to say I think I got lucky with my timing and the purchase price.

Good luck with your search, they're' definitely out there.

I stubbled onto my 94 Iris Blue GTS...wasn't really seriously looking for a car. Could not turn down the color, just had to buy it.
