That car is legendary. I have a similar one, but with many more miles (52K), and blue. I love driving mine.

Stuns me that there are at least TWO folks here that DON'T know Chuck Z owns Kermit and that it is possibly the second lowest mile 928 in the country! Pretty sure it is the lowest mile '78 outside of Porsche AG's personal/corporate collection.

Blue82 (another named and recognized car...along with IngramGT, which is the lowest known mileage 928 in the US at 329 and an '89 GT to boot) would LOVE to have Kermit as her new best friend in my garage!

If you get them both, i'll take the GT out for a good flogging whenever i'm around. I'm still disappointed that I only sat in Blue82 and didn't at least get a ride.

Though, the stereo was pretty damn nice.

I believe it's listed in the June 2009 Panorama for $69,995 obo. I'd rather drop my cash on a 95 GTS 5 speed, if I had $69,995 to play with.....

I think it may well be worth EVERY PENNY of that! Maybe a few more too... That car (much like Blue82) probably does not exist ANYWHERE ELSE and now never will...

If I were made of money I would have the lowest mile examples of each body style (OB, S, S4, GTS) and fill in ALL the missing years with ones I could drive, but there would be four VERY, VERY SPECIAL cars in the collection! That is just me...

Agreed, having a low mileage 928 which hasn't been mollested is definitely a treat. But you also need to have a second one to drive and not feel bad about it. I'm working on buying a second one.....need to make more money and get a lift!

Yea, you can't have just ONE 928 I think! You need a show/nice/special car and then one to tear A$$ around in and take to the track and beat like a red headed step child and then bring it home and let it rest and love on it before the next track event or fun drive!

James, you need to find some cash and buy Kermit. I think if we did a poll (as if there haven't been enough of those lately.... ) you are the most logical individual to buy this car.
